Holiday in San Vigilio Dolomites

Legends, Ladin culture and skiing on the Kronplatz amidst the spectacular Dolomite landscape 

Al Plan - San Martin form the Ladin part of the Kronplatz holiday region between two of the most beautiful nature parks in the Dolomites: the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park and the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. The many different hiking trails and mountain biking tours offer possibilities for one and all to enjoy the spectacular Dolomite backdrop on holiday here. A hike to the fabled  Fanesalm Alpine pasture is especially recommended. Pure skiing bliss is available in winter at the Kronplatz and along the Sellaronda,  as is cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and all-out culinary indulgence. San Martin is home to the Museum Ladin at the Ćiastel de Tor castle complex and the Micurà de Rü Ladin institute of culture - the cultural centre of the Ladin-speaking Val Badia valley.

Sustainable San Vigilio Dolomites

The Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site characterizes the holiday alpine location Al Plan-San Martin in the Dolomites region Plan de Corones at the opening to Val Badia. The protection of natural environments, the cultivation of their cultural heritage and preservation of the oldest tongue in the region - Ladin - and the traditional cuisine have been close to the hearts of local people for a long time.   • Travel by train or bus

    You can reach the towns in the Dolomites region Kronplatz from Franzensfeste/Fortezza or Lienz in Austria. Take the regional train to Bruneck and once you board off, you can get on a bus, in a taxi once you board off, you can get on a bus, in a taxi or in the "Südtirol Transfer" shuttle.

  • On-site mobility

    Once you've arrived at your accommodation in the Dolomites region Kronplatz, you can get the Südtirol Guest Pass and have unlimited access to the public transport across South Tyrol. Choose a different and evironmentally-friendly holiday.
