Important notes:
The Südtirol Guest Pass is valid on the replacement bus services. You need to validate it at the train station or on the bus. Due to limited space, taking your bicycle on these routes is not possible.
Rail traffic changes in August
- From 12 to 18 August 2025, the northern section of Brenner station will be closed for maintenance work. During this period, Railjet 185‑184 on the Vienna–Bolzano route will be cancelled. All other Railjet services will be diverted via the Tauern line. A replacement bus service will operate between Steinach and Brenner.
- In the same period, from 12 to 18 August 2025, rail traffic between Brixen and Brenner will be suspended for major upgrade works and for the construction of the junction for the new Puster Valley line via the Riggertal. A replacement bus service will operate between Brixen and Brenner.
- On the Bolzano–Brixen section, trains will run only once per hour during the closure of the Brenner line.
