The restaurant and tennis bar Sparer is located in the picturesque village of Montiggl in the south of South Tyrol. As sport is known to make you hungry, we entertain our guests with a colourful mixture of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine paired with Italian flair.

Tasting and sale of wines from Tenutae Lageder, grow using biodynamic methods, and from Alois Lageder, as well as from selected native wineries of Italy, France and other countries. Also: spirits, oils and culinary specialities.

Our cosy bar on the ground floor is open from morning until evening . The cosy ambience inside the bar and the spacious sun terrace invite you to linger.

Let us welcome you on our fantastic terrace directly on the lake shore and enjoy our delicious meals and the well selected South Tyrolean wines. In the afternoon you will be spoiled with fresh apple strudel and home made cakes and have a taste of a wide range of ice creams. In summer time there is life - music on Tuesdays evenings and dinner with BBQ on Fridays in July and August.

Traditional local dishes. Moreover, it disposes over an alley for playing "boccia" (bowls) and constitutes an ideal spot for enjoying traditional autumn Törggelen (wine tasting and chestnuts).

Klaus Lentsch, scion of an old-established South Tyrolean winemaking family, decided to take a new path in 2008 and has been producing typical wines for the region ever since. Bachgart, Fuchslahn and Eichberg are the historical vineyards he can call his own. Discover the variety of tastes of the cru wines from the Eisack valley, the fresh white wines from the Überetsch and the strong reds from the porphyry slopes in the lowlands. Thanks to the most modern cellar technology, the mechanical processing can be carried out as gently as possible. Gentle pressing of the grapes and the subsequent gentle fermentation process transform the grapes from must into young wine. With muse and above all time during the ripening in the cellar, the harmonious wines of Klaus Lentsch are created in inox and wooden barrels.

Enjoy savouring the refined regional cuisine, selected specialities and wine from our well-assorted wine cellars. In April and May you can enjoy delicious asparagus dishes combined with art. Enchanting not only for the palate but also for the eye.

We are pleased to spoil you with South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine. You will also find pizza with kamut and spelt. Pizza also at noon.

The Luggin family has set up an interesting farm inn at St. Nikolaus near Kaltern, a local place of pilgrimage. You can reach the rustic cellar via the farm shop with its numerous farm products and enjoy South Tyrolean farm dishes with a glass of wine, fruit juice or spirits from the farm's own organic distillery. Open from mid-March to start of December from Wednesday to Saturday after 5.00 p.m. Booking recommended.
