Larch room
It wasn’t the bird but the tree that gave this room its name. Both flora and fauna can be admired from the balcony. Nature enthusiasts and those enchanted by magical surroundings will love our ‘Larch’ room. Bright and airy, with the scent of wood permeating the air, it offers panoramic forest views through its expansive windows. Breathe in the fresh mountain air on the balcony or terrace, surrounded by pure comfort. Features:  Double room in Swiss stone pine and spruce With balcony or terrace Panorama window Wooden floor or carpet Walk-in wardrobe Bathroom with shower, WC and bidet Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat TV, radio and safe

Stuben room
The name says it all. This rustic chamber was once the place to write letters, think, discuss and hatch plans. Anton, the hotel’s proprietor, quite literally wrote history here. When distinguished city guests were expected, he would stow away his pen and paper, transforming the space into a cosy guest room for ‘summer visitors’, complete with enchanting mountain panorama. It’s still the same today. Abundant aged wood and native Val Senales stone imbue my rustic rooms into a wonderful retreat. Features: Double room with wooden floor Balcony with a view of the Gruppo di Tessa New bathroom with shower/WC, washbasin made from natural Val Senales stone Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe SAT TV, radio, safe *Because the old wood is ‘alive’ and the historic rooms are a little sensitive to noise, we recommend that very light sleepers enjoy the contemporary four-star comfort of the new building.*

Raindl room
Good food. Stunning views. You can enjoy both from a Raindl. And since this pocket of the Val Senales is so named, these rooms are tailor-made for a luxurious stay. South Tyrolean for beginners – fancy a crash course? If you choose to stay in this room, you don’t need to know the Val Senales dialect. But if an atmospheric, cosy holiday home appeals, the Raindl is on the ground floor and boasts a terrace. So, dog owners and solo travellers will feel perfectly at ease here. Features: Enchanting room with double bed Premium furnishings in Swiss stone pine and spruce wood Terrace Bathroom with shower, WC and bidet Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe SAT TV, radio, safe

Sterngugger room
Not too long ago, fridges and freezers were a foreign concept in the Alpine valleys. My attic, with its draughty floorboards, was the ideal spot to store precious food. Back then, if you ventured to the top floor for a handful of flour or a piece of bread, you could catch a glimpse of the stars twinkling through the roof. Don’t worry, the gaps in the slanted ceiling are long gone. But it does have a magical skylight that invites you to become a stargazer yourself. Features: Idyllic double room with wooden floor New bathroom with shower/WC, washbasin made from natural Val Senales stone Fireplace with stove bench Premium fabrics and skins from the sheep of Val Senales Flat-screen TV, radio and safe *Because the old wood is ‘alive’ and the historic rooms are a little sensitive to noise, we recommend that very light sleepers enjoy the contemporary four-star comfort of the new building.*

Transhumanz room
This centuries-old tradition has been a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for several years now. With this room, my hotel pays tribute to transhumance – the seasonal migration of sheep in the Val Senales. The location was not chosen by chance. For it was here that shepherds of old would settle for the night, warming their chilled limbs by the cosy tiled stove, which still graces the room to this day. Coupled with fluffy sheep’s wool, felt and loden cloth, it creates a cosy atmosphere perfect for holidays steeped in historical charm. Features: Idyllic double room with wooden floor New bathroom with shower/WC, washbasin made from natural Val Senales stone Fireplace with stove bench Valuable fabrics and woollen products from sheeps of Schnalstal Valley Hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat-screen TV, radio and safe *Because the old wood is ‘alive’ and the historic rooms are a little sensitive to noise, we recommend that very light sleepers enjoy the contemporary four-star comfort of the new building.*

Antonius room
If I were a grand hotel, this room would undoubtedly be the presidential suite. Fortunately, I am the Oberraindlhof. The grandest of my historic rooms is called ‘Antonius’. Why you may ask? In the year 1900, it served as the sanctuary of the family patriarch, Anton. Given his many responsibilities during the day, he naturally needed an especially good night’s rest. A practice that still works well today. With exquisite Swiss stone pine and spruce, this 25m2 space exudes a cosy ambience, while fine natural stone and premium natural materials lend an air of opulence to this magnificent room. And wait until you see the view from the balcony! Features: Delightful double room in Swiss stone pine and spruce Balcony Wood flooring New bathroom with shower/WC, washbasin made from natural Val Senales stone Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat-screen TV, radio and safe *Because the old wood is ‘alive’ and the historic rooms are a little sensitive to noise, we recommend that very light sleepers enjoy the contemporary four-star comfort of the new building.*

Schiferlehen room
In 1581, I was known as Schiferlehen, not Oberraindlhof. Here, you’ll unravel the mysteries that enshroud my legacy – and enjoy sublime rest. With a balcony or terrace. Wooden or felt floor. But always with panoramic vistas across the valley and furnished with an additional sofa bed. These Schiferlehen rooms are, quite deservedly, favoured by my returning guests. Ideal for families and friends. Features: Spacious double room in Swiss stone pine and spruce wood Sofa bed for children or snoring husbands Balcony or terrace with panoramic view Wooden or felt floor Bathroom with shower and WC, some with bidet Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat TV, radio, safe

Room Aloysia new 2026
My most luxurious room. Named after Aloysia, Anton's wife. Equipped with a freestanding bathtub for those special moments of well-being. A room with character. And a lot of heart. Some names carry a special dignity. And so do some people. I have dedicated this room to Aloysia. The woman at Anton's side. A strong farmer's wife with a keen sense of beauty, tranquility, and consistency. Lots of Swiss pine and spruce wood tell the story of a life well lived. Warm materials, clean lines, and loving details create a retreat that needs to prove nothing. And then there's that special extra: the freestanding bathtub. A place to pause. To switch off. To become still. Outside, the view of the Texelspitze. Inside, complete tranquility. Features: Unique double room made of Swiss pine and spruce wood Terrace Wooden floor Bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and washbasin made of natural stone from Schnalstal Valley Freestanding bathtub Hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat-screen TV, radio and safe

Room Glanen new 2026
Glanen derives from the cranberries that used to be harvested right here. A quiet double room with a terrace and a view of the Nockspitze peak – rooted in the nature of the Schnalstal Valley. Where berries were once gathered, relaxation now grows. Glanen is what we call cranberries. And it was precisely in this place, where this room stands today, that they were once gathered. Quietly. Thoughtfully. In tune with nature. I have preserved this feeling and translated it into a room that offers peace and space to breathe deeply. Swiss pine and spruce wood provide alpine warmth, and the view from the terrace extends all the way to the Nockspitze. Inside, it's cozy; outside, it's spacious. And if togetherness suddenly turns into a little more, that's taken care of too: a sofa bed offers space for children – or for snoring husbands who prefer a little more room at night. Amenities: Beautiful double room made of Swiss pine and spruce wood Terrace with a view of the Nockspitze mountain Wooden floor Bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, and sink made of natural stone from Schnalstal Valley Hair dryer, slippers, bathrobe Flat-screen TV, radio, and safe

Room Tenn
Tenn used to mean barn – airy, sheltered, peaceful. It is precisely this feeling that accompanies you in this suite at the top of the house. When you sleep up here, you are always close to the sky. As the largest room in my new building, the Tenn is located on the top floor of the Oberraindlhof. The living and sleeping areas can be converted into two separate retreats if required, making the suite ideal for families or longer stays. The small kitchenette is always there when hunger strikes at any time of day. The ultimate feature: the bathtub for young and old alike. Features: Suite in the attic with premium Swiss stone pine and spruce Separate living and sleeping area Balcony Large bathroom with bathtub, shower/WC, bidet Hair-dryer, slippers, bathrobe 2 x Flat screen TV , radio, safe Kitchenette with seating area

Description

About the region

Vinschgau/Val Venosta is a land of contrasts. The bell tower jutting out of the Reschensee lake is only the tip of the iceberg. Visitors can choose to sail, cycle or walk along paths that cut through orchards and cultivated fields, always accompanied by the famous Vinschgau winds. The people of this valley have embraced the slow pace of agriculture with their eyes raised to the Ortler mountain, the highest peak in South Tyrol. The purest marble is quarried in Laas/Lasa, while in Glurns/Glorenza, you can walks between medieval walls. Even the historical irrigation ditches tell stories of the land and local ingenuity. Vinschgau does not have to put on a show to leave a lasting impression.
