Description

The Moarhof is located in Corti in the valley Katzental near Chienes and the name of the farm was already known in the middle ages. At that time, one of the Schwaighöfe (comparable to a stockyard) has always been called “Moarhof“ in every village. Today three generations live at the Moarhof: in 1983, the father Johann took over the farm and currently manages it alongside the nearby alpine hut Moarhofalm. He has three children with his wife Erika who is from Terento: their oldest son Benjamin and their two daughters Vanessa and Dana. Grandmother Katharina, called Kathl lives with the family at the farm, too. The farmhouse was completely rebuilt in 2018. It is a class A ClimateHouse and therefore one of the newest of its kind. We offer 5 apartments with space for up to 6 persons each.

About the region

In the Dolomites Region Kronplatz changes with the seasons, but never loses its unique charm. In summer, you can explore on foot or by bike; in winter, on skis or snowshoes. The landscape is open and easily recognisable, even though the light and colours change. But there is more to discover than just nature: the museums on the mountain tops tell powerful stories tied to Alpine culture. And if you listen closely, you can also hear Ladin spoken: a sign of a land that keeps its roots alive.
