This is an easy and esthetically very rewarding walking trail offering impressive landscape views that will take you to the little church of St. Helena, a sacred alpine structure with gothic frescos dating back to the 15th Century.

The Lake Carezza in Val d'Ega is famous because of its beautiful colors and therefore it is often called Lec de Ergobando - Rainbow Lake. It is 300 metres long and 140 metres wide. The Lake Carezza is fed by underground springs from the Latemar, which is why its size and depth are heavily influenced by the season and the weather - so don't worry, the Lake Carezza will not dry up. The lake is a protected natural landmark - therefore it is important to treat it with respect and not to exceed the protection limits, so the beauty of this special lake will remain for a long time.

Embark on a family-friendly hike to South Tyrol’s only observatory in Obergummer.Starting from the Schenken parking lot at the Lantschnay bus stop, a quiet, stroller-accessible asphalt road leads you directly to the „Max Valier“ observatory and the „Peter Anich“ solar observatory.Part of the trail follows the Planet Path, where you can explore our solar system at a scale of 1:1 billion.At the destination, not only are stellar views and views of the surrounding mountains awaiting you, but also the Unteregger inn with a playground and petting zoo – perfect for a relaxing break after a short yet celestial hike.

This winter hike starts at the quiet, deeply snow-covered Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), whose winter charm is impressive right from the start. From here, the path leads along well-prepared trails through dense forests that exude a special sense of peace. The route is easy to walk, yet still offers varied sections with open views of the Dolomites. At the Stadlalm farm, a wide panoramic view unfolds, revealing snowy meadows as well as the Rosengarten  Catinaccio and Latemar.

This easy and impressive circular hike is especially recommended due to the panoramic views to the Rosengarten, Schlern and Latemar mountains and the Alps. The hike can be combined with a visit at St. Helen chruch, which is famous for its high-Gothic frescoes. These mural paintings are amongst the most precious local examples of the High Gothic period. The church is open all year round. Just in front of the church, at the "Buschenschank" Kreuzhof, the visitors can taste typical south-tyrolean food.

Across the beautiful Latemar meadows, you reach the Latemar Cinema, which, as the name suggests, offers magnificent panoramic views. The subsequent exhausting ascent to the Pulpito peak is rewarded by a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains like the Pala Group, Marmolada, Sella, Sassolungo, Catinaccio and Ötztal Alps.

The Latemar is varied on this circular walk, which starts at the Grand Hotel Carezza and leads the hiker through the Latemar Forest to the labyrinth and back.

This winter hike follows the "Herrensteig" from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), considered one of the most magnificent alpine lakes. The lake, located at the foot of the Latemar and known for its deep green waters and the beautiful mountain backdrop, is frozen in winter and usually covered with a white blanket of snow.

From Welschnofen | Nova Levante, the path ascends with a steady, gentle incline up to Lake Carezza. Along the "Herrensteig", you are treated to beautiful views of the picturesque village of Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Upon reaching the lake, a breathtaking panorama opens up with views of the impressive mountain ranges of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.

The hike “Perlenweg” links the four villages Deutschnofen|Nova Ponente, Welschnofen|Nova Levante, Steinegg|Collepietra and Tiers|Tires. Those surround the mountains Rosengarten and Latemar. They are part of the Dolomites and count to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.   

Among 80 km (49miles), divided into 5 stages, for each considering 1 day, this hike allows an insight in this breathtaking area.

The Perlenweg is very attractive for professionals or for free time hikers. Easily it can be chosen the level of difficulty. There are few possibilities to take public transport and stops in the traditional hovels. The curiosity of this hike is that it can be mounted from both directions.

The short circular trail leads directly around Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), which is often frozen and covered in a blanket of snow during winter. Surrounded by the impressive peaks of the Latemar and Rosengarten | Catinaccio, it offers a picturesque view of the Dolomites. The prepared path is particularly suitable for a relaxed winter walk. The peaceful, snow-covered landscape and the frozen waters of the lake, with its sparkling ice crystals, create a special atmosphere, ideal for a short break in nature.

This easy and pleasant winter hike leads from Eggen to the idyllically situated Egghöfe farms. The path is easy to follow and offers wonderful views of the snow-covered winter landscape. After the hike, the village center of Eggen offers cozy places to stop for a break. Here, hikers can either stop off at the Dorfhotel Moar am Latemar or the traditional Gasserhof.

The circular hike from Lake Carezza to Franzin Alm combines breathtaking landscapes, historical sites, and local culinary delights. A special highlight is the Kaiserstein, a large rock named after Empress Elisabeth "Sissi," who once visited this place.

Important note: There are no refreshment stops along the entire circular route. However, at the start and end point in Steinegg|Collepietra, you will find several restaurants, cafés, and two shops.

This easy and nice winter hike along the Sissi Promenade at Karersee | Carezza takes winter hikers in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sissi. The path, named after her, was one of her favorite walking routes. At the beginning of the tour, you pass the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where the Empress resided during her stays. The route then leads past old farms through a picturesque winter landscape offering breathtaking views of the Latemar and ends at the Sissi Monument, which was erected in her honor.

This circular trail takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of bees. Along the family-friendly path, differnt stations bring the connection between bees, forests, and humans to life. The trail winds through dense woodlands and blooming meadows, always accompanied by the hum of these busy pollinators.

The peaceful atmosphere and pristine landscape make this outing an ideal experience for nature lovers seeking tranquility and relaxation, along with a fantastic view.

The Carezza lake, considered one of the most magnificent Alpine lakes, is especially known for its deep green water and the beautiful mountain scenery in the background.

The winter panorama path in Welschnofen | Nova Levante is a pleasant circular hike that delights both locals and tourists. With a length of 5.1 kilometers and a duration of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a relaxed stroll. The trail runs above the village center, offering stunning views of the surrounding Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar and valley. Interesting stops along the way provide information about the village, its history, and traditions.
