The Pyramid Path in Steinegg|Collepietra is a fascinating hiking trail that takes you into the heart of nature and to an impressive natural phenomenon. Along the way, you can marvel at the unique earth pyramids of Steinegg|Collepietra - special geological formations that have been created by erosion over thousands of years.
The circular trail is classified as moderately difficult, as it not only leads through picturesque forests and meadows, but also through a gorge. Again and again you are offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains Schlern|Sciliar and Rosengarten|Catinaccio.
Start at the Steinegg village square and follow path 2B past Café Christl, turn left at Hotel Oberwirt and follow path 2B via Pstosser Bühl to the barn in front of the capel "Zum Weißen Bild". Turn left here onto the Path of the Pyramids. 3 wooden pyramids are the signposts. You reach the Katzenbach gorge, cross it and come on an adventurous trail in the Glirgerwiese, after this begins the Lahnweg with its bridges. In the lanes you are directly below the earth pyramids and can observe the formation of the earth cones. Continue to the Raffeinerhof and on the tarred road towards Heiglerhof. Before this branches off to the right a path with the marking no.2. This leads slightly uphill past the Dosserhof to the main street.
Continue on to the Dosser-Kreuz, from where you descend directly to the earth pyramids and to the viewing platform. The path continues, past the pyramids, to the Glirgerkreuz and over the Katzenbachweg back to the chapel "Zum Weißen Bild" and the village Steinegg|Collepietra.
