This loop route starts and ends in Ritsch and passes through the Kleine Moos on practically flat terrain, making it perfect for newcomers to cross-country skiing. With exceptional views over the Dolomite peaks of the Langkofel and Plattkofel, the Ritsch Trail is an unforgettable experience. Those who are trying their hand at cross-country for the first time can get a real feel for the sport here before tackling the more challenging trails on the Seiser Alm.

The 50 km long cross-country ski track leads from Monguelfo over snow-covered fields, through romantic snow-covered forests, past picturesque farmhouses and inns to the head of the valley in Santa Maddalena – Val Casies Valley and back to Tesido and Monguelfo. Always in view: the panorama of the Dolomites. Whether gliding with energy or at a leisurely pace – this trail combines movement and scenery, offering every skier a moment of winter bliss.
The Waldheim - Moos circular trail is the perfect route for all beginners. Not only do you have a beautiful view of the Sexten Sundial, but also of the Helm Mountain.
This trail is open and lighted on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This easy loop trail is directly behind the Cross-Coutry Centre in Ritsch and leads from the Ritsch Hotel and Restaurant to the Große Moos. With outstanding views over the Langkofel and
Plattkofel, this practice piste guarantees an unforgettable experience for young and old alike. Beginners can get a feel for cross-country skiing on the practice trails and hone their double poling, diagonal stride and herringbone techniques. The tracks are also ideal for warming-up before heading out on longer tours.
You can find the entrance to the cross country ski trail on the right side of the Tuscherhof inn. You keep going straight ahead until you come to the connection to the Schmieden/Ferrara circuit. As soon as you have done half of this circular route, the briefly but slighlty rising trail leads you to the Mösslhof inn.
Sunny cross-country trail along the Drava until Winnebach/Prato alla Drava, flat trail, ideal for beginners. You can continue to Lienz (44 km) and return to San Candido by train; open only if there is enough snow!

This link-trail connects the Hotel Sonne to the Möser, Wolfsbühl and Hartl trails. It ranges very little in elevation and is an easy run which is also suitable for beginners.
The trail begins in Compatsch and passes the St. Franziskus Church and to the left of the road over vast Alpine meadows and a small wood to the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch. For beginners, this trail alternates easy sections with stretches that are somewhat more demanding. Skiers with a degree of technical expertise use the trails as a link route to the more difficult trails which begin at the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch. This trail was designed as a warm-up route.

A long and fantastic track through the whole Höhlensteintal/Val di Landro valley.
“Im Gemärk” is the German name for a pass height located at 1,530 m. Shortly before the pass, the provincial border runs between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno.
This easy loop-route leads out from the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch and heads north over the vast Alpine meadows. With the Langkofel and the Plattkofel, this stretch of the trail boasts an incredible panorama. A short but hard ascent takes you to the Wolfbühl, the highest point of the route. Then continue onwards through a stretch of wood and over easy, undulating terrain back to the beginning of the trail.
The “Schönfelder circular trail” has several access points and is located in Moos. With direct views of the Rotwand and the Sexten sundial. Ideally reached by public transportation (Rotwand bus stop) or, if necessary, by parking directly on site.

The Panorama cross-country trail is classed as one of the most challenging loop-routes on the Seiser Alm and, with the Langkofel, Plattkofel and the Schlern, boasts a landscape which is second to none. The trail starts at the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch and leads up to the mountain station of the Panorama chairlift with numerous sweeping curves through the Palude di Ladinser Moos. When you get to the Laurinhütte hut, loop round and head back to the start of the trail.
