--Mulins y rojules sa Bula-- In the past, the mountain hamlet Bulla was Val Gardena’s granary due to its strategic location. Between three and seven farms built and managed the municipal mills in the gorge of Bulla. -- Cun la roda -- Starting from Ortisei we ride moderately uphill for about 2 km in S.Cristina direction. On our way, we pass the little church of St. Jacob. In S.Cristina we leave the paved road and ride uphill towards the Gamsblut mountain hut and reach the Fermeda hut. From here we can enjoy a beautiful downhill to Rifugio Firenze and continue to Selva. From here the trail takes us through a wonderful larches forest into Vallunga in the Puez-Odle Nature Park. We reach the alpine meadows of Pra da Ri and then ride back to Selva and S.Cristina. The Demetz family has been breeding 40 alpacas, known for their high-quality wool products, since the year 2000. At the beginning of the “Triech” ascent, you can spot a second, hidden waterfall. Yoga is the world's oldest system for holistic health, whose effectiveness is now more and more confirmed by modern science. Yoga leads to lasting relaxation and unity with oneself. Physical and mental tensions are relieved and enormous energy reserves are awakened. This creates a harmony of body, mind and soul. Dive into the fascinating world of traditional dance with the folk dance group of Ortisei. Experience an exhilarating performance as we dance with lively steps and graceful movements through the pedestrian area of Ortisei. Let yourself be carried away by our energy and passion for traditional dance, and discover the cultural diversity of our community in a truly special way! The folk dance group “Grupa Balarins de Gherdëina Urtijëi” was founded in 1963 and has been active without interruption since then. The group dances traditional folk dances based on a long tradition thereunder typical dances for thanksgiving, dances having the intent to attract the other gender and also typical “Schuhplattler”. The “Schuhplattler” dances are demonstrated by male dancers only. All dancers are wearing the “Grödner-Tracht” (traditional costume) which is known as one of the most beautiful and most precious of the alpine area. Due to numerous performances in our country as well as abroad and on TV, the group is very well known far beyond South Tyrol.
