--Mulins y rojules sa Bula-- In the past, the mountain hamlet Bulla was Val Gardena’s granary due to its strategic location. Between three and seven farms built and managed the municipal mills in the gorge of Bulla. -- Cun la roda -- Starting from Ortisei we ride moderately uphill for about 2 km in S.Cristina direction. On our way, we pass the little church of St. Jacob. In S.Cristina we leave the paved road and ride uphill towards the Gamsblut mountain hut and reach the Fermeda hut. From here we can enjoy a beautiful downhill to Rifugio Firenze and continue to Selva. From here the trail takes us through a wonderful larches forest into Vallunga in the Puez-Odle Nature Park. We reach the alpine meadows of Pra da Ri and then ride back to Selva and S.Cristina. The Demetz family has been breeding 40 alpacas, known for their high-quality wool products, since the year 2000. At the beginning of the “Triech” ascent, you can spot a second, hidden waterfall.
