Guided hiking tour from Plätzwiese high plateau to Rossalm.

Rustic. Down-to-earth. Genuine. Hebs, the landlord and shepherd from the Pragser Tal Valley lives for his Rossalm. He could not imagine a nicer job, because the alp is his life. Hebs likes to pass on his passion to his visitors and he offers you the opportunity to explore hidden places and to slip into his role as a landlord. Together you hike from the Plätzwiese high plateau along old shepherds' paths to the Rossalm where you prepare a hearty alpine meal and experience the mountain life at 2,164 m above sea level.

    Everything you need to know

    Parking area Brückele/Ponticello
    Entrance to the Pragser Tal vally towards Plätzwiese high plateau. Car park Brückele/ Ponticello.
    Turist office Prags/Braies until 3 pm the day before
    Equipment: hiking boots; warm clothing; sun & rain protection; beverage
    Please note: In case of bad weather the event can be cancelled and the participants get their money back.
    Requirements: Good fitness (approx. 5 hours walking time in total); sure-footed on narrow, alpine paths

    For whom: Anyone interested, including sure-footed children

    Procedure: Route will be adjusted according to weather and group

    Included: hiking guide, meal at the hut. Attention!! We use bus line 443: please take your South Tyrol Guest Pass with you!
