Location

Description

Ciurnadù is documented for the first time in the land register of Castel Badia (1296) under the name Zyradas (small property). In 1971, Alex's parents - the current owner - built their house, which was soon converted into a small hotel. Currently, the hotel is still managed by the Rubatscher family: Rita at the reception, Alex and Luca in the kitchen, Matteo in the dining room, wellness area, and on the farm. Our farm, managed by Matteo, and our vegetable garden, cared for by Rita and her grandfather Jep, offer a unique experience where you can connect with rural life in Alta Badia. The half-board service includes a four-course dinner menu and a rich vegetable buffet. Each dish combines the tradition and creativity of our chefs, with the mission of celebrating the typical cuisine of South Tyrol. We use fresh local products and enhance their flavors by cooking them in the wood-fired oven, as in the past. Choosing Mountain Lodge Ciurnadù, you choose to have an eco-friendly vacation in the Dolomites for a more sustainable tourism experience.

About the region

In the Dolomites Region Alta Badia, the Dolomites look so close you could reach out and touch them. The Sassongher mountain, Santa Croce peak and Sella group rise above manicured villages and ancient farms. In the "viles" (hamlets), people still speak Ladin, a language that is deeply rooted in this valley. Mountaineering has a long history here, but today Alta Badia is also synonymous with excellent cuisine. Between lodges, gourmet events and Michelin-starred restaurants, gourmands will find plenty of authentic and refined dishes to enjoy. Not to mention the slopes of the Gran Risa ski course, the hairpin bends of the Maratona dles Dolomites bicycle race, and the Armentara meadows. Each season brings new possibilities.
