The Tauber inn is located in sunny and quiet position in the South Tyrolean holiday resort of Albein (560 m a.s.l.) in the heart of orchards and vineyards. Albeins is located in area of Brixen with an extremely mild climate and is the ideal starting point for excursions and walks. Right on the edge of town you will find vast forests. There are many footpaths that will take you into the low and high mountain range where those seeking relax can come into nature with intact nature. In the near vicinity (4 km) lies the Plose area, a true excursion and ski paradise, which is easy to reach on well-kept roads. From the peak of the Plose (2540 m ) the visitor can enjoy a unique view of the Dolomites. Worthwhile destinations for excursions are the Villnoß Valley and the Grödner Valley as well as the whole Dolomite area both in the winter and the summer. For a pleasant change our guests can visit the ancient episcopal see of Brixen (just 5 km away), with its many monuments. Many concerts, exhibitions and folk events are organized there.
