Easy hike to one of the most important places of pilgrimage in the Pustertal valley, whose little church " Unserer Lieben Frau von Loreto" was built around the middle of the 17th century.

This moderately difficult winter hike leads up to the Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza, a high plateau at 2,000 m above sea level with a breathtaking view of the Hohe Gaisel/Croda Rossa and the Cristallo.

 

The route from Melag/Melago to the Melager Alm alpine pasture in Langtaufers valley is a beautiful family hike, which is also suitable for buggies. The hike starts from the car park in the hamlet Melag, the highest hamlet in Langtaufers valley at 1,915m, which is inhabited all year round. From the car park walk to the right between the houses. Signpost numbers 2 and 5 indicate the path, but it is impossible to miss even without the directions. In a very gentle ascent walk towards to the bridge over the Karlinbach river. Cross the bridge and continue on the flat path towards the alpine pasture. At the end of the valley, the snow-covered peaks around the Weißkugel rise up; to the north and south, a whole series of three thousand metre peaks flank the valley. The way back follows the same route as the one going there.
Note: As an alternative you can start this hike from the hamlet of Kappl at the out of service Maseben ski-lift station and follow the forest road to the Melager Alm alpine pasture.

A winter alpine hut hike that starts in the small holiday village of Karersee | Carezza and leads through a snow-covered fairy-tale landscape to Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Along the way, you can enjoy impressive views of the snow-covered Dolomites while walking through forest paths and gently sloping meadows. Along the route, several huts invite you to take a cozy break, including the Franzin Alm hut, the Ochsenhütte hut, the restaurant Tschein and the Frommer Alm hut.

The hike starts directly at the mountain station Stiergarten and leads from there always slightly downhill to the Malga Klammbach and from there on over to the middle station of the cable car Stiergarten. There you can take the gondola back to the valley.

A short, yet idyllic winter hike across the snowy winter landscape of Monte Pana. This sunny circuit is ideal for a calm winter hike amongst snow-covered meadows and perfectly suitable for families.

This relaxing, approximately 2-hour winter hike starts at the Hotel Hubertus, which you can easily reach with Citybus 435.2. The correct stop is “Olang Geiselsberg, Prackenweg.” You can also get to the starting point comfortably using the CallBus.

From there, you follow the Prackenweg, which gently leads you through the snow-covered forests of Geiselsberg until you reach the Olangerhof, where you can warm up with a hot drink and enjoy a short break.

The return route follows the same path back to the starting point.

Beautiful circular snowshoe hike across the Eisa meadows to the Matscher Alm.

Treat yourself to a relaxing 30-minute walk through the picturesque fields and meadows of Oberolang. You can easily reach the centre of Oberolang with Citybus 435.1 (Stop: Oberolang, Dorfstraße) or the CallBus. Just a few metres from the cemetery, you’ll find the starting point of this short route.

The trail leads you for about 1.7 km through the peaceful winter landscape and brings you back to the hamlet of Oberolang. There, several inviting places to stop await you, including Café Pfiff, Hotel Messnerwirt and Hotel Rainegg.

For your return, you can simply continue walking or take the Citybus or CallBus again to comfortably get back to your accommodation.

From Ranui via trail no. 33 to Zans. Continue via trail no. 36 to hut Glatschalm and via 36B towards hut Dusler Alm. Continue a bit further via 36B until you reach a junction. There via 34/34B back to the starting point.

An easy hike for the whole family! Along the old military road from the first World War, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage site with views of imposing Dolomites peaks, such as Hohe Gaisel peak, Tofane and Monte Cristallo, you walk towards the Dürrensteinhütte hut.
The Dürrensteinhütte hut is open during the entire winter season.

Please note: Due to the temperature fluctuations, there may be icy patches on the trails and we therefore recommend the use of crampons!

If you want your winter holiday in South Tyrol to be a different experience then you are in the right place in Klausen, Feldthurns, Barbian and Villanders. You will holiday in peaceful villages in the southern Eisack valley.

You start your hike at the church in the center of Terlan. Via the Silberleitenweg you get to Oberkreuth, where you turn right at the fountain, walk 20 m further and then take the Vorbergweg/no°4A to the left up to the Tschirglhöfe. The first path is very steep. Further up the mountain you hike past "Mugger/Zilli" and "Bergrast". You will reach the Möltner road (please pay attention to the traffic), walk downwards for approx. 150 m and turn right onto hiking trail n°4. Where the hiking trail meets the road again, you walk downwards (attention to traffic) for a short while until you turn onto the hiking trail again. After the first 20 m descent, a detour to the left to the "Wetterkreuz" is worthwhile. It is a magnificent viewpoint with the ruins of the 14th-century St.Peter miners' chapel below. The path now leads steeply down to the "Klaus in der Mühl" farm and then leads into Kirchgasse, through which you return to the starting point.

There is no rest stop on this hike.

A challenging snowshoe hike to the " Stone cairns" with a spectacular view of the surrounding snowy mountain world awaits you.

The hike through the quiet Silvestertal/ Valle San Silvestro valley leads mostly through the forest. If you look closely you maybe can even see wild tracks in the snow.

This hike leads around the beautifully situated Toblacher See. A nature adventure trail with 11 stations around the lake provides valuable information about the flora, fauna and geomorphology of the area and, above all, explains the special features of Lake Dobbiaco. The viewing platform on the west bank offers a place to rest and a view of the flora and fauna and the silting zone. In addition, the special and very varied panorama of the circular route should be mentioned.
