Starting in the village center of Eggen, the trail gently ascends through pristine nature, accompanied by the crunch of snow and crisp mountain air. Open clearings along the way offer lovely views of the surrounding peaks.

Whether as a relaxed family outing or a peaceful solo escape, this tour is ideal for anyone who wants to experience winter away from the ski slopes. Back in Eggen, cozy stops like Dorfhotel Moar am Latemar or Gasserhof invite you to warm up and enjoy local hospitality.

This winter hike leads from the Frommer Alm hut through a picturesque snowy landscape to the cozy Ochsenhütte hut. The well-prepared path offers breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks of the Latemar and Rosengarten | Catinaccio. The tour is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the winter mountain world and rewards hikers with a warm stop at the rustic hut, where regional specialties await.

This winter hike to the Rittner Horn mountain starts at the Gasserhütte mountain hut. Follow the prepared winter hiking trail first to the Mair in Plun and from there to the Gasteiger Sattel saddle. Keep following the winter trail as far as the Rittner Horn. Refreshments are available en route at the Mair in Plun hut, Oberes Horn Haus and Gasserhütte. Return is by the same route.

The destination of the hike, the white Rit meadows, within the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are an expression of intact nature, peace and tranquillity, where you can enjoy the silence of nature.

After a two-hour walk, you will reach the Crusc da Rit cross, where a breathtaking panorama will open up before you, stretching from the Sas dla Crusc massif to the Pütia mountain. From this point you will be able to distinguish the three churches of La Val.

From Camping Corones > on the "Dorfrundweg Rasen" slightly uphills to the road Redensberg > downwards and turning left up to the "Jagdhaus" > turning right until reaching a bar > continue on the edge of the woods reaching the barbecue area > cross the main road > path to the river > along the river back to Oberrasen or Niederrasen.

The butterfly trail in St. Sigmund

The scattered farms on the sunny slopes between St. Sigmund and Terenten look after the landscape with great care. Flowering meadows, fragrant forests and natural vegetation provide an ideal habitat for butterflies. The beautiful Gothic church of St. Sigmund is worth seeing right at the starting point. The parish church is one of the most beautiful architectural monuments in South Tyrol. First mentioned in 1363, the present building was erected between 1449 and 1489. The high altar (1440) is one of the oldest and most important winged altars in South Tyrol.
Later on the hike, you will come across contemporary witnesses of natural history, such as the boulders or the giants of Ehrenburg, who, according to legend, brought down the Guggenschlößl with large stone balls. Today, a ruin is a reminder of the wild times. Passing the Schiffereggerhof farm, you return to the starting point.

The little church of Santa Barbara, dating back to the 15th century, on the hills above the village of La Val, a very panoramic location.

The inhabitants of this place still have very vivid memories of the history of the Lords of Rü: some centuries ago they buried money and precious jewellery near the church.

The winter hike from Laab Alm to Neuhütt Alm offers a peaceful nature experience for those who enjoy quiet moments. The winter hike passes the source of the Drava/Drau River. The Drava/Drau is a river of 749 km which takes origin in the field of Dobbiaco/Toblach and crosses Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary.

The tour leads to St. Michael with its church of the same name, which dates back to the 13th century and thus to the Romanesque period.

The winter hike from Monte Pana to the Tirler Alm is an unforgettable experience in the wintery mountain landscape of South Tyrol. Starting from Monte Pana, the trail no. 30 leads through snow-covered forests and gentle hills. The route offers spectacular views of the surrounding Dolomites and the peaceful winter landscape.

After reaching Saltria, a ascent on trail no. 9 leads to the Tirler Alm with its cozy rest stop.

The return journey is by skibus Saltria-Monte Pana. Tickets are available on the bus and at the ticket machines on the Seiser Alm (Single ride €5.00).

This leisurely winter hike along an Alpine and farm trail leads to the Untere and Obere Stilfser Alm Alpine farms. Hikers follow a gentle forest trail through snowy meadows and forests to the Obere Stilfser Alm Alpine farm (2,077 m).

The winter panorama path in Welschnofen | Nova Levante is a pleasant circular hike that delights both locals and tourists. With a length of 5.1 kilometers and a duration of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a relaxed stroll. The path runs above the village center, offering stunning views of the surrounding Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar and valley. Interesting stops along the way provide information about the village, its history, and traditions.

From Niederrasen to Oberrasen (culture house) > along the river > after approx. 1 km turn right on a country lane > further on northwards to the biotope (the moor area - an integral natural reserve with nature trail).

This hike can also be started from Antholz Niedertal or Antholz Mittertal!

The Dolomites, with the mountains of Sas dla Crusc on one side and the Pütia on the other one, provide the frame for the snow-covered meadows, old barns and farmsteads with the gardens of the 'viles', the traditional rural settlements in the oldest part of La Val. During this simple walk through the old farmsteads of the village, you will feel enveloped by the still living tradition and culture of the village. In addition, on your way you will see the little church of St. Barbara, the symbol of the village, and the bell tower of the old church of La Val.

Along the trail, there are two agritourisms, 'Ciablun' and 'Lüch de Survisc', where you can stop to savour the authentic and genuine dishes of the Ladin cuisine.
