On the 2000 Plätzwiese high plateau in the middle of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park, where many cross country stars have used this circuit to prepare for Olympic gold, the excellent snow conditions offer wonderful hours on cross country skies. This unique circuit is also recommended for beginners and enthusiasts. Here, where the snowy days tend to start before the first days of December and sometimes last until the last days of March, you can experience peace and nature combined with stunning views of some of the famous peaks of the Dolomites (Hohe Gaisl peak, Monte Cristallo and the Tofane).

For the one who love the silence and the nature. The cross-country ski-track is 16 km long and goes parallel to the street, which conducts from Selva dei Molini / Mühlwald to Lappago / Lappach. Slope for both, classic and freestyle tecnique.

Thanks to its 3 km length and minimal elevation difference, the Walten cross-country ski run is well suited to both children and learners. However, the trail also attracts more advanced skiers for its fast laps. In just a few minutes, you can reach the trail from Walten/Valtina from where it takes only 10 min to St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo (± 10 km). The cross-country ski run remains open and is free of charge.

The high-altitude cross-country trail in Langtaufers offers a unique skiing experience amidst an idyllic winter landscape. The circular route starts in Perwarg and follows the edge of the forest to the charming Melager Alm. Along the way, skiers can enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks of the Ötztal Alps and the untouched nature of the Langtaufers Valley.

After a short break at the Melager Alm – perfect for savoring local delicacies – the trail continues to Melag. The route is suitable for both classic skiing and skating techniques, and thanks to its altitude, it guarantees excellent snow conditions

Connection from Monguelfo to the Val Casies Valley track. From the crossing point there is the possibility to sci to Santa Maddalena or to Monguelfo and near the train station further to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites area.

The "Erl" cross-country ski trail offers a beautiful 2.5 km of skiing in the snow-sure Pflerschtal valley. The 70-meter elevation difference provides optimal conditions, especially for experienced skiers and demanding skaters. The trail is perfect for both classic and skating styles and is located in a stunning alpine setting at the foot of the mountain Weißwandspitze and the Tribulaun.
There is no possibility to rent equipment on-site.
If you need anything, you have the option to rent equipment at the sports shop "Sport Wurzer by m2Bike" in Gossensass.

The cross-country skiing trail in the winter wonderland of Langtauferers is the same route as the cross-country skiing competition for the Ski Classics series La Venosta. On this approximately 7 km long route, cross-country skiers can feel like professionals and tackle the challenge of the demanding terrain. The trail is well-marked and prepared and offers terrain with some steep inclines and descents that demand the most effort from athletes. The trail also offers a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and forests of the Langtauferer Tal. The cross-country skiing trail promises an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking a challenge and wanting to feel like world-class skiers

Connection from Tesido to the Val Casies Valley track. From the crossing point there is the possibility to sci to Santa Maddalena or to Monguelfo and near the train station further to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites area.

Cross-country trail No. 18B is located in the Fiscalina Valley and is part of the entire “Fiscalina Valley Circular Trail.”  This small 1.5 km circular trail is located directly in front of the Dolomitenhof. There is a beautiful view of the mountains of the Sexten Sundial.

At the practice slope of the Cross-Country Centre Alta Badia in San Cassiano, everyone can take their first steps in cross-country skiing.

The Fölla trail is a classic and skating trail in the cross-country skiing centre of Schlinig.

The cross-country skiing trail in the Langtauferer Valley runs alongside the Karlin river and offers a breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped mountains and forests. The trail is ideal for skiers of all levels and offers a route of approximately 4,5 km. The trail is well-marked and prepared, and offers gentle terrain with some light inclines and descents. Skiers can enjoy the beauty of nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air while exploring the trail

The cross-country ski trail in wintry Langtaufers leads along the picturesque Karlin stream and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Weisskugel glacier. The trail is well marked and groomed and offers cross-country skiers of all levels a route of about 5 km. On the way, there is the opportunity to stop at the cosy Melager Alm and fortify yourself with traditional South Tyrolean specialities. The trail offers gentle terrain and guarantees cross-country skiers an unforgettable experience in the magical winter landscape of the Langtauferertal valley

The 4.5 kilometer “Fischleintal circular course” runs through the Fischleintal valley. It runs in beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views of the Sexten Sundial Mountains.

Characterising the cross-country skiing trail in Solda is easy. It is a simple but fascinating route at 1,900 m above sea level with views of the Ortler, Cevedale and Königspitze mountains. With the certainty of snow throughout the winter, the 4,8 km long, high altitude trail in Solda is sure to excite skating and classic cross-country skiers. The high altitude trail in Solda is groomed from the middle of December to the middle of April. The ticket can be purchased directly at the valley station of the Kanzellift, at the valley station of the cable car, at the Cevedale practice slope, at Sport Thöni or at the information office. You will find parking spaces directly at the Kanzellift or at the entrance to the village.

Enjoy the breathtaking landscape while you glide along the 2 km trail on your cross-country-ski.

On Thursdays (from January), between 5.30 and 9.30 pm, certain sections of the trail are lit up.

The Platschjoch High-Altitude Trail starts just below the mountain station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, at the valley station of the Rinneralm chairlift (3 min. walk). It goes towards the Kalcheralm Alpine farm and then along the forest road to the Jaufenpassstraße road. Cross the road and continue a little way into the area of the Platschjoch mountain. You then loop round to go back down to the Rinneralm.

The two to ten kilometer long high-altitude cross-country ski track on the Schnalstal Glacier is located at about 3,000 meters above sea level. Open from early October to December, it offers athletes from various national teams ideal conditions for the high-altitude training for the preparation of the next racing season. Also a lot of amateur cross-country skiers choose the Hochjoch track to do their season warm-up.

The slope is prearranged as agonistic and training area through the beautiful woods of San Cassiano.

The first destination we recommend for cross-country skiing is one of Italy’s largest high-mountain plateaus: the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alp. What you will find up there is a 25-kilometretrail suitable for both classic and skating styles. The trail, which features a total elevation gain of 300 metres, leads from the Zumis car park to the Roner Alm hut in gentle ups and downs, and on past the Pianer Kreuz chapel to the Starkenfeldhütte hut. Both huts are open in winter and serve a range of tempting regional dishes. The view of the glittering alpine meadows and Mt. Peitlerkofel enjoyed from the trail adds a touch of fabulousness to the experience.

Near the train station in Monguelfo (10 minutes walk) starts the track in direction southwest. Connection to the region 3 Zinnen Dolomites: Valle di Braies Valley, Villabassa, Dobbiaco and S. Candido.

The cross-country skiiing trail offers you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the winter mountain landscape in the northern part of South Tyrol. You can access the trail either from Giggelberg/Moncucco near Gossensass or from the little hamlet Ast in the Pflerschtal Valley. The trail follows the popular bicycle trail of Brenner with a steady incline and is ideal for skating, classic cross-country skiing, as well as a winter hiking path. With a length of 4 km and an elevation gain of 70 meters, the route is suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes. The trail is free to use, but there is no equipment rental available on-site and no possibiliy to stop for refreshments.
