The historical garden is situated at the entrance to the monastery complex. It reopened in summer 2004 following extensive restoration work. The sequoia tree towers imposingly over the rear part of the garden, with the impressive centuries-old ginkgo trees directly opposite. The pretty baroque garden with its myriad flowers and herbs and beautiful fountain is laid out between them.

In over 70 rooms the Diocesan Museum displays a representative cross section of the sacred art of the South Tyrol. It houses the well-known Nativity collection and parts of the treasure collection belonging to Brixen Cathedral, including the famous Adlerkasel. The collection of medieval sculpture and panel painting is the most comprehensive in the South Tyrol and is particularly worth seeing. Highlights in the art gallery are paintings by Lucas Cranach, Bartlmä Dill Riemenschneider, Ulrich Glantschnigg, Franz Sebald Unterberger, Paul Troger, Gianbattista Tiepolo and Carl Henrici. With an exhibition area of 6600m², the Brixen Diocesan Museum in Brixen is one of most comprehensive ecclesiatical collections anywhere. The Kaisertrakt is also worth seeing, with pictures, furniture and porcelain created by manufacturers commissioned by the Viennese court.

The convention center avails modern conference rooms inside its historic cloister walls from the Middle Ages. In addition, the accommodation on offer extends to 26 single and double rooms and creates the perfect link between education and fun. A broad leisure time and framework programme such as wine tastings, guided tours through the cloister and gardens, torch hiking trips, outdoor swimming, biotopes, outdoor exercise trail and the untouched nature around the historically unique building complex rounds up the offer.

This fortress, which is the largest in the Alps, was completed in 1838 but was never actually used for the purpose of war. It served as a munition storage place until it was taken over by South Tyrol to be used for cultural purposes. So far the lower and middle fortress have been rebuilt to house exhibitions. Cellar corridors were extended underground and connected by a vertical shaft to the uppermost, destroyed, powder magazine. A staircase was installed here, free standing like a sculpture, so that the view of the exterior was not impaired. A new building made of concrete extends the ruins which are covered with a steel roof. The rest of the additional buildings were built in patinated black steel, whose open galleries seems to sway over the surface of the reservoir.

The Brixen Pharmacy Museum leads into the past of a Brixen townhouse with splendid wall panelling, murals and tiled stoves. The house containing the Peer Pharmacy holds a rich store of rare medicaments that relate the diversity and imagination of the healing art. This wonderful little museum is also highly recommended for all lovers of architecture and modern art.

The group Dekadenz was born out of the desire to challenge the South Tyrolean audience with home-grown cabaret.
It was the year 1980. In the small bishop's town of Bressanone, a few critical spirits around actor Georg Kaser decided that South Tyrol could definitely do with more culture than chewing cows and tinkling church bells. They founded the group Dekadenz and caused quite a stir with their first self-penned cabarets - after all, cabaret was hitherto an unknown quantity in the country. The Brixen innkeeper Burkhard Stremitzer provided a cellar in the Stufels district (and still does, free of charge!), which the group gradually turned into a cabaret cellar.
With guest appearances by cabaret artists, initially from Austria and Bavaria, as well as jazz concerts, the program expanded. The Anreiterkeller became a year-round performance venue, where cabaret and cabaret from the entire German-speaking region could be seen for the first time in South Tyrol.

The 72 m high Gothic tower of the parish church of St. Michael is one of the landmarks of the city of Bressanone. It is called the "White Tower" because of its bright, bricked tower roof. The present shape dates back to 1459, and the four oriels behind which the room of the tower guard was located until the 1930s are typical.

The municipal library was founded in 1984 as an institution of the Municipality of Brixen and as a system library it assists eight borrowing points of the Municipality itself and supports the bibliotheques of the district of the Isarco Valley.

The library offers a wide selection of books for children, teenagers and adults, newspapers and magazines, CDs, DVDs and audio books, all of which are available to borrow free of charge.

The Stadt Galerie (City Gallery) located in the center of Brixen / Bressanone was renovated in 2019 and reoriented to contemporary works. Starting in 2020, it will be managed by the SKB. The City Gallery's new assignment is to promote, further develop, and communicate the personal and social value of now-art. In the future, the potential of historical art treasures as storehouses of memory in dialog with contemporary artists will be more-effectively conveyed. Art as a reflector of overall social and cultural processes thinks about social, political, technological, economic, and ecological circumstances. The SKB cooperates not only with the City Gallery but also with institutions and organizations in the province in order to develop synergies and to expand the network for the artists. A commission will appoint a new curator for the City Gallery each year whose job it will be to curate 4-5 exhibitions.

The space in front of the Augustinian Monastery was used as a car park for a long time. Surrounded by buildings of historical value, the potential of the space was finally filled in with a new design. The complex is made of three parts: the entrance from outside, the square and the entrance to the abbey gate. The square was lowered by 1.5 meters in order to recreate the original proportions of the facades of the surrounding buildings. A steel plate for a fountain was installed in the middle of the space. Wooden steps arranged above the water cascade, surround the square, which can be used as seats for open-air events. In bad weather a large tarpaulin with steel supports and rope guy lines can be set up. All new aspects such as paving, parapets, steps etc. were made from granite to stay in keeping with the buildings of the abbey.

Around 1800, the prince bishop Karl Franz Lodron commissioned two large cribs depicting the story of Christ and the Redemption for the grand chapel and a room in his living quarters. Both cribs illustrate numerous scenes based on evangelical stories.  Franz Xaver Nissl and the paralytic Augustin Alois Probst, assisted by his stepbrother Benedikt, were chosen as the engravers.  Probst’s crib contains more than five thousand miniature figurines, all recounting the story of Christ, beginning with the Nativity and continuing to the Passion at the Cross.  Nissl’s crib, depicting episodes of Christmas and the Passion, was put on display during Lent Sundays in the residence chapel.  Other cribs from Brixen, Tyrol, Naples and Sicily enrich this section of the museum.

Stufels is a hidden jewel of Brixen: Inhabited in the neolithic and roman periods, it is considered one of the most charming quarters of the episcopal city. The Cusanus Academy is a very special place. Directly beside the Baroque Brixen seminary, it is a place where the church and world meet. The conference centre of the Bozen-Brixen diocese, which is named after the theologian, philosopher and nature scientist Cardinal Nikolaus Cusanus, forms a harmonic contrast to the historic building. The interior and exterior designs stand out due to their structural simplicity and well thought-through planning.

The in-house seminar program at the Cusanus Academy targets the adult world and offers events on the themes of faith and religion, society and politics, on-going education and professional further education.

The court gardenis part of the Hofburg ensemble and is an oasis of peace for the city's many guests. The garden, decorated with flowers and herbs, is adorned with a valuable bronze fountain from the Biedermeier period.
