My favorite herb is the bedstraw. And the meadowsweet. Oh yes, and the ground ivy. Of course, the masterwort should not be missing from this list. Never mind. I love them all. As an enthusiastic herb fairy you can do that. Herbs, flowers and plants are some of the most fascinating things that exist for me. The enormous healing powers impress me just as much as the unique beauty of them. No matter how similar each bloom, flower and leaf is, they always are different and unique. As an FNL herbal expert, book author and naturopath, I deal with herbs and everything that goes with them often and for a long time (and often for a very, very long time). These are not only the botanical names, the family affiliation and the ingredients, but also the doctrine of signatures. This means, among other things, that you can deduce the effect and use of the plants from their appearance. Our products are exclusively made from the wood of the Queen of the Alps - the pinewood - which is found on alpine terrain, above the tree line and which is felled by the waning moon. Carefully handcrafted, the moon wood is used to produce Silvador - products from pinewood.
When carving I become one with the wood. The log itself is already a work of art that holds the figure in itself. My model and the wood form a unity, are together the artwork.

Wood carving has a long tradition in South Tyrol‘s Gardena Valley – around 1700, poor farmers took up wood carving as an additional source of income during hard winter months.
This tradition is still alive and we are proud to present our own wood carving enterprise:

In the third generation, this centuries old craft is cultivated in the quill embroidery Thaler. The artistically embroidered with quill pen "Sarner Geldtaschen", traditional belts and other products are known and loved far beyond the valley. In 1893 when the copper mine ceased its activity, the population of Prettau/Predoi was forced to find other sources of income: the lace making.
The precious art to create these masterpieces was transmitted to the local population after founding the School of Lace Making in Prettau/Predoi. The laces were sold in Europe, Africa and America.
