Wood carving has a long tradition in South Tyrol‘s Gardena Valley – around 1700, poor farmers took up wood carving as an additional source of income during hard winter months.
This tradition is still alive and we are proud to present our own wood carving enterprise:
ALRA has been a family business since 1992– and our high quality products have gained us a very good reputation in a fairly short time.
Our products include Christmas crib figures, Madonnas, crucifixes, angels, religious and profane figures, available in either natural, stained or coloured wood, according to your requirements.
Upon request, we also produce individual items.

Our controlled high quality wood carvings are available in specialised shops.
