A guided botanical walk along the Solda panorama path: Starting in the village centre, we walk past the parish church of St. Gertraud to panorama trail no. 7, which we follow into the valley past meadows, pastures, woods and small streams to the valley station of the Solda cable car. There we switch to the opposite side of the valley, with its sunny and dry slopes. We now return to our starting point with a splendid view of the north face of the Ortler mountain along panorama trail no. 6. Along the way, we will be able to admire numerous species of flowers, including the species Pedicularis recutita, Alpine clematis, Globeflower, Twinflower , Lesser twayblade, Greek valerian, Orange hawkweed, Bearded bellflower and many others. On 27 June 2025, the legendary Stelvio road will be closed to motorised traffic for the first half of the night and will be completely open to cyclists and pedestrians. The last seven kilometres of the 'Berghotel Franzenshöhe' before the summit will be magically illuminated by indirect lighting to show participants the way to the 2,757-metre peak. Whether on foot, by (E-)bike or other non-motorised means of transport; everyone is invited to take an enjoyable journey along the Stelvio Pass road at night on June 27, 2025 EXPERIENCE A MAGICAL MOMENT AND A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE! Sacred Heart Sunday in Prato allo Stelvio On the third Sunday after Pentecost every year, fires of the Sacred Heart are lit on the high peaks throughout South Tyrol and in particularly spectacular fashion around Prato allo Stelvio/Prad am Stilfserjoch. The fires, which are visible at great distances, involve groups of young people and adults, who take considerable trouble to re-enact this centuries-old custom each year, attracting numerous tourists and curious onlookers. The tradition of the mountain fires actually dates back to pre-Christian times but in 1796, by the time Napoleon's army had reached the Alps, the light of the fires was turned into the Sacred Heart alliance. When faced with the threat of war, the Tyrolean parliament decided to entrust the country to the care of the most holy heart of Jesus in the quest for Divine redemption.

As soon as you arrive, at the starting point in front of the tower in Resia Lake, you will learn more about the tragic history of the lake damming. The route then takes you up the hill to St. Anna's Church and on to the Upper Vinschgau Valley Museum. The museum provides information about the destruction and reconstruction of the villages of Curon and Resia in an extensive photo documentation. The exhibition also presents sacred artefacts as well as historical objects from everyday farming life in the past. You will then travel by public transport to Resia. Here you have free time for lunch or to explore the village until 3:00pm. From the Resia sports ground, the tour continues to the Bunker at the Source of the Adige River no. 20, where you will learn about the history of the construction and use of the bunkers of the Alpine Wall around the Resia Pass. This is followed by a visit to the source of the Adige, the second longest river in Italy. The journey by public transport and food are not included in the price. The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier trekking tour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From the mountain terminal of the Glacier Cable Car, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m/9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m/10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. Return to the Similaun Refunge in the early afternoon. We will then descend through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt (1,700 m./5,577 ft.) Return to Kurzras. The Stelvio Pass gives its name to the Stelvio National Park. To mark the anniversary, you can enjoy the view of the highest section of the historic pass road and learn about some aspects of its history during a guided hike along the Signalkopfsteig trail from Franzenshöhe to the Stelvio Pass. The Stelvio Pass road was built between 1820 and 1825 by order of the Austrian Emperor Franz I in order to create a fast connection to Lombardy, which at the time, like South Tyrol, belonged to Austria. After its inauguration, sections at high risk of avalanches were secured with wooden avalanche protection tunnels. Until the middle of the 19th century, the pass road was even open in winter and could be travelled on horse-drawn sleighs. On this exciting adventure hike with the Stelvio miller and his Nörggele, you will learn about the life of the miller and his mill. Accompanied by legends and various games about the mill, you will learn about the processing of the grain through to the finished bread. Route: The meeting point is the parking lot at the fishing lake in Stilfs, from where we will travel by private car to the Faslar farms. Together with the Stelvio miller, we walk along the Vallatsches farms to the Vallatsches mill and back again. The hike takes a total of 3 to 4 hours, with a pure walking time of around 2 hours. Under the professional guidance of a state-certified mountain guide you learn the abc of climbing at the Marchegg climbing garden. Equipment is provided free of charge. You only need to bring trekking shoes or runners and comfortable clothing. Food and drinks are available in the Marchegghof tavern nearby. The Larix via ferrata is an action-packed family via ferrata at the end of the Schnalstal Valley. This unique via ferrata with many rope bridges, two sky ladders and a tyrolienne (a type of rope slide) leads up along a waterfall from Kurzras towards the Teufelsegg hut, where you can stop for a bite to eat. The ‘Alpin Trail’ adventure hiking trail runs parallel to this. These two routes cross each other several times and can be used to get out at any time. Families can therefore start together, some via the action-packed via ferrata and others via the challenging ‘Alpin Trail’ hiking trail. Explore the Bio Kandlwaalhof in Laas together with the Luggin family, where excellent, high-quality fruits and herbs ripen at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level and in a balanced climate. During a guided tour of the orchards, you will gain an interesting insight into organic apple cultivation. Our trekking guide Florian will start with you from the meeting point at the parking lot in Upper Martelly Valley to an eventful day through the wonderful panoramic world of the National Park. Together with our llama boys Giacomo, Rocky, Rono, Rambo, Casper and Winnetou, who carry your backpacks in the pack saddle, Florian will lead you to the most beautiful places with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As a certified hiking guide, he will introduce you to the local flora and fauna. Through the spotting scope you may even be able to observe some wild animals, such as deer, chamois and marmots, and thus be almost as close to them as to the national park llamas, whose soothing tranquility will make you feel calm and balanced. We will stop at one of the most beautiful view points, while you will strengthen yourself with a snack of local products from the national park and enjoy the surrounding nature. Via the Panorama Trail we return to the starting point. Another route leads us to the Lyfialm (alping pasture) with its centuries-old primeval larches on the sunny side of the Martell Valley and right to the llama enclosure, the summer quarters of the animals in Thial, nearby the biathlon center. The Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia: a running experience like no other! On 12 July 2025, the picturesque Lake Reschen will be transformed into a spectacular running track. With almost 4,000 participants, the Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia is one of the biggest running events in the Alps. The 15.2km course offers breathtaking views of the largest artificial lake in South Tyrol and the majestic mountains surrounding the Ortles. Runners, Nordic walkers, handicapped and children are divided into different categories and receive a fantastic starter pack including refreshments, lunch and a free massage. At the finish line everyone gets a finisher gift and a certificate. 2025 will be a very special year for the Reschenseelauf / Giro Lago di Resia: To celebrate its 25th anniversary, there will be a spectacular night run! Your adventure week on the 3 Countries Enduro Trails! The main part of this week is spent exploring the region on the bike. Trained guides teach boys and girls aged 11 to 15 many tips and tricks in open terrain and on single trails. Among other things, trail basics such as balancing correctly, braking, riding on and over steps, climbing and descending, etc. are refined during this week and what is learned is put into practice on the 3 Länder Enduro Trails. In addition to the 3 country enduro trails, you can expect other great activities such as a first aid course, trail building and a bike workshop.

On this guided hike to the Prader Alm mountain hut in Stilfs/Stelvio, you can see how cheese and butter are made from fresh farm milk. Enjoy the panoramic views while smelling the fragrance of the Alpine meadows!
