Workshops and entertainment for adults. Just like for children, the Merano Christmas Markets have reserved a space for adults dedicated to imagination and creativity. In Piazza della Rena, you will find the ‘Chalet’ where you can create Advent wreaths, lights and Christmas stars. For ages 16 and up.

Climb, laugh, discover – with Climbing for Kids, children aged 7 to 15 experience an exciting and varied climbing adventure at the modern VERTIKALE Climbing Gym in Brixen. Guided by experienced and certified instructors, kids learn the basics of climbing in a playful way, improve their coordination, and gain confidence in their own abilities. The focus is on movement, fun, and teamwork. Every child is supported individually, regardless of their level or previous experience. Small group sizes ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand. Participation is flexible on a weekly basis – ideal for families who want to add an active and engaging experience to their stay in Brixen. Bats: new discoveries from South Tyrol
Since 2023, the Provincial Nature Office, Eurac Research, and the South Tyrol Museum of Natural Sciences have been monitoring native bats to better understand their habitats and behavior. A conference organized by Eurac Research and the South Tyrol Biodiversity Platform on December 10 at the Museum of Natural Sciences will present the background, methods, and initial results of the project. This winter, we are excited to once again offer an exclusive ice skating course in collaboration with the talented figure skater Sara Furlan. With her many years of experience and passion for the sport, Sara will inspire you with the fun and beauty of ice skating. The courses are divided by age groups: Children aged 3–5: 16:00–17:00 Children aged 6 and older: 17:00–18:00 Sara recommends attending all the sessions to get the most out of the training. However, if you can only attend a single session, that is also possible. Christmas Celebration on December 20th: As a special highlight, Sara invites you to a small Christmas celebration on December 20th at 5PM. The children will have the opportunity to show their parents what they’ve learned. Afterwards, we will enjoy a festive drink together at the snack stand.

When the light grows dim, the “real” world sometimes becomes indistinguishable from the realm of fairy tales. Yet this is far from “child’s play.” Fairy tales, legends, and myths have, for a very long time, served as a secret code for important life wisdom and guidance on behavior. They are also a threshold for subtle experiences and insights, opening a door where our playful side leads us into another world. Children are especially receptive – but we adults are capable of learning too. On this December day, we will immerse ourselves in the nature around Bressanone and encounter trees, water, and stones in a different way. Along the way, we will listen to fairy tales, legends, and myths. Finally, we will bring our nature encounters to the crackling fire or a heated room, warming both hand and heart.

That fish is not only healthy but also regional is proven by a pioneering farm in the Vinschgau Valley with its traditional fish farming. The char is raised in a species-appropriate environment and given plenty of time to grow naturally and healthily.
