An insider tip of the first order is the Blütenhöfefest on Sunday, 13 April 2025, in which 15 traditional farms in Lana, Völlan, St. Pankraz and Tscherms take part. Visitors will get to know historic farms and artistic residences in an enjoyable way and savour typical farm products on site. Visitors who are fit enough to walk follow well-signposted hiking trails and hike from farm to farm, while those who are more leisurely can take the free shuttle buses to the farms from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. Please note: Not all courtyards are suitable for coaches (50-seater). Due to limited parking facilities, certain farms can only be reached by a small shuttle or on foot. After a short walk, you will reach the farm that he runs with passion and where he has realised his dream: a farm shop and his own butcher's shop. Here, he only sells meat from his own animals and from farmers in the Passeiertal Valley - regional, fresh and handcrafted. During the tour, you will discover the stories behind the butcher's shop, the farm and the people behind it. You will experience first-hand how much work and passion goes into Martin's products. Next, we continue to "Kurzhof": Discover, together with farmer Oswald, how a traditional grain mill works. Every Wednesday we meet us in the farm of the Schildhof Obergereuth. Together we prepare South Tyrolean bread with spices and wheat from our farm. While the dough is rising and resting, we visit our mill from 1831. The bread and three recipes are taken home. After a walk through the vineyards, the owner welcomes visitors into the wine cellars and offers insight into the exciting and complex process of wine-making. The tour is concluded with a trip to the modern tasting room, giving you a chance to enjoy sipping your way through the selection of wines.

Discover the art of dumpling making! In our cooking class, Alexandra from Lechnerhof farm will teach you how to prepare these delicious traditional South Tyrolean specialties. After cooking, you can enjoy the dumplings together, served with a fresh salad and a drink of your choice. An experience full of flavor and tradition that you won’t want to miss!

The colourful fruit that blossoms and ripens everywhere here is legendary, healthy and of symbolic significance for our high plateau. The guided apple hike includes an educational excursion to the apple trees that line the path everywhere here, as well as a film presentation and, of course, apple tasting! Every Friday, from the beginning of April to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". The varied offer ranges from traditional bacon and “Kaminwurzen” , fresh and smoked trout, cheese and yogurt specialties, homemade bread, organic wines, herbs, honey, eggs to homemade juices and fresh vegetables. Locals and guests have appreciated the market for over a decade now. Tip: Do not miss the delicious “Krapfen and Tirtler” of the Wipptaler farmers' wives!
