On May 4 2025 Naturno invites you again to the South Tyrolean Bacon Day. Enjoy innovative bacon dishes in a great ambience: children's program, showcocking and music, as well as a small specialiätenmarkt around the South Tyrolean bacon. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the town hall square in Naturno and takes place in any weather.

Find out how a farm can be completely self-sufficient and sustainable at the same time! Walter opens the doors of his organic farm to you and talks passionately about his farming activities. He describes his philosophy, the self-sufficient concept of the farm and the clever combination of his mainstays: these range from farm vacations and the production of green energy to South Tyrolean mountain meadow hay. Learn all about organic mountain meadow hay, from harvesting to its versatile use as cushions, hay beds, wallpaper, lampshades, flooring, liqueur and even gin. After the farm tour, you can make your own hay cushion as a “hay light” and taste the farm's own products. Language: German & Italian We meet at 10 am at Klobenstein station. We take bus 165 to Unterinn. From here we hike to Signat and along the new wine hiking trail "Rebe" to Bolzano. The sunny mountain slope from Bozen up to the Ritten is one of the finest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Along the wine steps, the 10 artistic installations offer a fascinating glimpse into the culture of wine production. From Signat the trail leads downhill through the gently rolling vineyards to the viewing platform with its magnificent views of Bozen, then on to the Loosmannhof, to the settlement of St. Justina and down to Rentsch in the historic wine-growing estate of Ansitz Waldgries. The same route leads back uphill from Bozen to Signat.

Get up early to enjoy the peace of morning while out hiking. What could be better than enjoying the peace and quiet of morning in the mountains? During the guided hike from St. Zyprian to the Tschafon mountain hut, a breathtaking view of the Rosengarten massif and the surrounding Dolomites awaits you. In the cosy family-run Tschafon mountain refuge you will enjoy a special mountaineer breakfast with regional products from South Tyrol, before the hiking guide Michaela takes you back to the starting point. If you want to enjoy the spring nature a little longer, you can extended the tour to the cross on the Völsegg Peak/Monte Balzo (approx. 25 min) and hike than back to St. Zyprian. Join beekeeper Michael every Wednesday at 4:00 PM for an unforgettable journey into the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping. Open a beehive with him, take a selfie with the queen bee and sample fresh honey straight from the comb—if you're feeling brave! This is followed by a tasting of over 10 different specialties made from and with honey. Some of his award-winning products are not only healthy, they are real palate ticklers. Bee tours are available from early May to late September every Wednesday, or by request outside of these dates. Hiking guide Arnold accompanies you on this route, telling you exciting stories about the historic waterways and the local flora and fauna along the way. A highlight of the hike is a stop at the Schiefer fish farm. During a guided tour of the facility, you will learn all about sustainable fish farming and the careful processing of the farmed fish.
