Mountain Huts in South Tyrol

Built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena. It’s located on the sunny side in the middle of the Nature Park Puez-Odle with a stunning view on the Sassolungo and on the Odle mountains. The Rifugio Firenze was built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena by the German-Austrian Alpine Club (DÖAV Regensburg). When in 1921, with the end of the First World War, South Tyrol was given to Italy, the administration of the hut was transferred to the CAI of Florence, which renamed it "Rifugio Firenze". In 2010, after almost 90 years in hands of CAI Florence, the hut was entrusted to the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, which still owns it. Open in summer from 1st June until mid of October

(Coming from Vipiteno) Once in Vipiteno continue in the direction of Brennero along the state road (SS12). After about 4 km you reach Colle Isarco. Stay and continue along the state road (SS12) towards Brennero for about 3Km (4min). After 3km you come across a hairpin bend to the right and another to the left. When you reach the hairpin turn to the left, you will see the motorway exit on the right. Next to the exit, take a small paved road and follow it for about 800m. Once you reach the parking lot, continue on foot along the unpaved forest road.

You can easily reach the refuge via forest road 8, as well as via the many panoramic hiking trails. And if the active nature experience draws you even further, the Lyfi Alm offers the best starting point for hikes of any length and difficulty level.

The refuge Tierser Alpl is situated on the saddle of the same name, a place where all paths seem to cross. On the way from the Schlern to the Lang- and Plattkofel, from the Seiser Alm to the Rosengarten, you’ll always pass this spot.

In the „Plattkofel“-hut the boss himself looks after your physical well being. You can choose typical local dishes from our rich food- offer, which lasts from home-made „Schluzkrapfen“ to „Bauernschöpsernes“, delicious South Tyrolian sweet dishes and self- smoked bacon.With a lot of love and fantasy Thomas uses above all Typical farmer products, meat, vegetables from our garden as well as wild herbs.

At 3,195 m, the Becherhaus is South Tyrol's highest refuge. The Becherhaus is located in the Ridnaun Valley in the Wipptal on the South Tyrolean side of the Stubai Alps on the edge of the Übertalferner.

The Radlseehütte (2284 m) in the Sarntal Alps is located in a beautiful location at the Radlsee east of the Königsangers peak (2436 m).

We run our small alpine hut with great passion. Our aim is to offer you a unique experience in contact with nature and animals. Enjoy our alpine pasture with a typical dish, our goat products or homemade cakes. In our malga, time stands still.

The Rifugio Marchhütte hut is situated at an altitude of 2,530 m, on the sunny side, only a few meters below the summit of the Cornetto di Confine / Marchkinkele with a magnificent view of the Sesto and Braies Dolomites. The hut offers accommodation for up to 40 people. The hut can be reached from all sides on hiking trails and the former military road is a popular destination for mountain bikers.

From the valley head Ridanna follow path no. 9 through the forest and along the Fernerbach moderately steep up to the Aglsboden, then stronger ascending to the refuge Grohmannhütte (2.254m) and steep up to the refuge Teplitzer Hütte.

Surrounded by enchanting mountains you will spend wonderful hours in our cottage, where you can eat delicious dishes and relax on our comfortable terrace. The Latzfons Cross (2.300m) is the highest pilgrimage site in South Tyrol and one of the highest in Europe.

The Hochfeilerhütte was built between 1984 and 1986 by the Sterzing section of the AVS just above the former Wiener Hütte. It serves as an ideal base for ascents of the Hochfeiler and its neighboring peaks, as well as for high-alpine crossings into the surrounding valleys.

The Grohmann hut (Italian Rifugio Vedretta Piana) is located in South Tyrol in the upper Ridnauntal near the Austrian border.

The Cason Hut on Resciesa is a charming mountain hut in the Dolomites, just five minutes away from the top station of the Resciesa funicular. It offers breathtaking views and is an ideal starting point for leisurely hikes, also suitable for families. The hut delights its guests with traditional specialties and homemade products.
