Let us spoil you with exquisite delicacies to a musical sound. When preparing the dishes, we place special emphasis on using local products from Vöran and the surrounding villages. The Vöran church choir looks forward to hosting you at this special celebration of autumnal delights!

ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Bachlerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to the Pichler restaurant and then hike through the Vallplatz forest to the Bachlerhof farm and after a stop for refreshments we continue to Verdins. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

From the bridge on the road to the Timmelsjoch Pass at the end of the Val Passiria valley, we begin our hike along the high-altitude trail “Tiroler Höhenweg,” which gently ascends through the forest. The final section climbs more steeply, leading us up small switchbacks to the Monteneve mine. We take a break at the Monteneve inn to refresh ourselves, then continue on to the “Obere Gostalm” mountain pasture, before returning to the road to the Timmelsjoch Pass. Elevation gain: approx. 600 m Walking time: 4.5–5 hours Difficulty: moderate

The bus takes us to the beautiful village of Ciardes in the Vinschgau, where we walk through orchards to the Waal (irrigation channel) and along it, without too much effort, to Juval Castle. The biggest event of the musical year is the spring concert, which takes place every year on the first Sunday in March in the Kursaal in Merano. The band also plays several concerts in and outside Lana every year and takes part in numerous church celebrations. Several musicians play together in one of the two Bohemian bands or in other smaller groups. Youth work is one of the most important tasks for a music band today. A lot of attention is therefore paid to recruiting new musicians and looking after the young musicians. Martin Knoll has been the leader of the Bürgerkapel-le Lana since 2007. Andreas Benedikter, born in 1981 in Brixen, received his first music lessons at the music school in Brixen. He then studied at the ‘C. Monteverdi’ Conservatory in Bolzano (recorder, piano, chamber music) and worked as a piano accompanist and instrumental teacher at the South Tyrolean Institute for Music Education. From 2009 to 2015 he lived and worked in Innsbruck, where he was a piano teacher at PianoArt. He has been teaching at various music and secondary schools in South Tyrol since 2015 and has been the organist at the parish church in Unterinn since 2018. First held in 1886, the Merano Grape Festival delights with intriguing performances, delicious South Tyrolean food and a wide range of concerts (including some fairly experimental ones). Traditional folk music, chestnut market, rural dishes and chestnut specialities await visitors in the village centre of Völlan. Visit to the Völlan Farmers' Museum with traditional baking demonstrations and a presentation of local crafts. Guided tours with the foresters at 2.00 pm on the South Tyrolean chestnut adventure trail. Free shuttle service from 9.30-18.00 from Lana to Völlan and from Tisens to Völlan.

20th October from 9 am to 5 pm The Organic Festival will take place on the open air festival area Algund. The South Tyrolean Health Promotion Association and the Union of Alternative Farmers. Organic products (fruit, vegetables, herbs, infusions, wine, juices, bread, etc.), wholemeal dishes and entertainment for adults and children await you. In addition to a large offer of organic products, there will also be lectures with various speakers.

Experience the "Allerweltskirchtag" on the church square in Marling with the "Weisenbläser" and the Whip-Crackers from Marling! After the church service, around 9:30 AM, you’ll have the opportunity to experience local tradition and customs up close. A special experience for everyone!

The traditional "Erntedank"-procession will be accompanied by the Parcines music band. After the Holy Mass and the procession, a short concert will be held. Would you like to find out more about the fascinating world of goats? Then come to the Goat Festival "Goas Festival" with bell flea market, leather embroidery, basket weaving and a small farmers' market. - 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. drive up - 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. puncturing of the 2021 goats - 2 - 4 p.m. ring demonstration - 4 p.m. awarding of the goats Martin's farm shop takes care of food and drinks.

Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years. Chestnut days in Tesimo/Tisens - Prissiano/Prissian, Foiana/Völlan and Lana gets ist Name from the "Keschtnriggl" - a hand-braided basket for Peeling roast chestnuts. For three weeks, a colourful Event Programme is put on for visitors: Chestnut walks, torchlight processions from castle to castle and the "Keschtnfestl" feast in Foiana, with Music, farmers market, chestnut delicates and traditional crafts. The aromatic fruit with ist spiky Shell, grows particularly well in Merano and Environs, and during this green Event has pride of place in the specialities of traditional inns and prestigious Restaurants, as well as in exquisite chestnut products such as sweet chestnut hearts, aromatic chestnut beer, hearty chestnut stollen, tasty chestnut spraed, luxuriant chestnut cake, fluffy chestnut bread, the excellent chestnut panettone as well as the noble chestnut praline.

During the Chestnut Festival "KESCHTNRIGGL", everything revolves around the "Tisner Kescht" (Chestnut of Tesimo). During the "KESCHTNRIGGL" period, menus in selected restaurants feature specially created chestnut dishes. The chestnut is the protagonist of numerous events during the Chestnut Festival KESCHTNRIGGL.

Naturno has made a name for itself as a market town in recent years; the much-visited and popular weekly market on Saturdays has become indispensable for locals and holidaymakers alike, and attracts many visitors to the village. The "Kirchtigmarkt" is one of the three annual markets where up to 55 stallholders offer their goods.

Every farmer’s wife has her culinary secrets! At the farmer’s kitchen on the Raiffeisenplatz market square, Scena's farmers’ wives offer authentic traditional and tasty specialities. "Törggelen" is a popular autumn custom for enjoying harvest fruits like chestnuts, apples and grapes. Ham and cheese, young wine and local dishes, all taste so much better when enjoyed in company and good music!

We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna to Verdins and hike via the Wieser Steig up to the Schenner Waalweg until we reach the Florerhof farm and after a cosy stop for refreshments we walk back down to St. Georgen. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. Of course, a Törggelemenü and hearty music are not to be missed! You love apples, but have never thought about who is behind the juicy-sweet vitamin bombs? Then a guided apple tour through the orchards is just the thing for you. Our apple farmer accompanies you through the apple meadows and tells you interesting facts about the diverse fruit. Afterwards, farmers Gitti and Sepp will make, bake and, of course, taste Apfelkiachl (apple fritters). Walking time: approx. 1.5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 100 m The event will be in German.

From the centre of Barbiano/Eisacktal we hike in the direction of the ‘Trimm Dich Weg’, past the sports zone to ‘Bad Dreikirchen’, with its three unique chapels built next to each other. We walk along the easy forest path to the ‘Briol’ inn and on to the upper (45 m high) and lower waterfall (85 m high), the highest point of the hike. Now it's downhill and back to the starting point. Elevation gain: approx. 600 m Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours Difficulty: moderate
