Gelateria Ortler in Silandro is the first ice cream parlour in the Vinschgau Valley - the Arnoldo family produced their ice cream in Silandro as early as 1938. Rosmarie Ferlito has been carrying on the tradition since 2020.

We use all the wonderful fruit from Val Venosta! Our traditional local varieties of apricots, apples, pears, grapes, all the berries of our mountains, and of course the Vinschgau chestnut!

Directly from the best producers in Italy we source citrus fruits, nuts and pistachios but also novelties like mango, avocado, ginger and turmeric.

What began as a small village bakery today is a successful bakery and pastry shop with many awards.

The Bergl Hut is located at an altitude of 2,188 m below the Pleisshorngrat of the Ortler, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. It is accessible in about 1.5 hours from the Holy Three Fountains in Trafoi via trail No. 18. The Bergl Hut is situated directly across from the second-highest mountain pass road in the Alps, the Stelvio Pass, and offers an impressive view of the surrounding peaks, the stunning alpine landscape, and the Stelvio Pass road with its 48 hairpin turns.

The hut delights its guests with a selection of regional specialties. Here, hikers can enjoy hearty dishes such as dumplings, speck platters, and pasta dishes made with local ingredients. Sweet temptations like apple strudel or Kaiserschmarrn are also a must.

The Bergl Hut is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours, such as to the Payer Hut or further on to the Ortler, the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps.

For 60 years the family Rinner has relied on the traditional production of Rinner Speck. Careful selection of raw materials, spice mixture according to a secret family recipe, mild smoking with beech wood and a slow and balanced maturing process give the South Tyrolean Speck of the Rinner family its unique taste. In the delicatessen shop you can buy delicacies such as Kaminwurzen, salami, various types of wild salami and many other smoked products.

Since March 2019, the organic village dairy Prad am Stilfserjoch has been processing goat's milk from four farms in Prad and Stilfs into high-quality products, primarily semi-hard and soft cheeses.
