Our cottage is located at the Sella Pass in the heart of the Dolomites mountains with a wonderful panoramic view of the Marmolada glaciar, the Sella massiv and the Sassolungo group. The Sella Pass forms together with the Pordoi Pass, the Gardena Pass and the Campolongo Pass the four-pass-trip, known from the skiers and the treckers as the "Sellaronda".

The "Cason" alpine hut is situated at 5 minutes from the nountain station of the funicular Reciesa. From here you can see a beautiful mountain panorama and you can enjoy the calm. It is also starting point of comfortably tours for families with little children. You get spoil with traditional specialities and homemade products. Open from mit June to mid September. Enjoy high-quality, home-made delicacies from the traditional South Tyrolean cuisine, prepared with love and culinary art for our guests. Our plates are served in the cozy hut or on the sunny terrace with a view of the surrounding imposing mountains.

The Puez hut was built in 1889 by the Austro-German section of the Alpenverein. After the First World War it passed to the Bolzano section of the CAI which, in 1940, handed it over to the well-known alpine guide Pietro Costa, an expert ski instructor and passionate hunter. Costa ran the hut until 1989 and then passed the helm to his children Oscar and Gemma. With the passing of the years and the explosion of high-altitude tourism, needs changed. In order to adapt to the times, the CAI decided to build a new, larger and more modern hut next to the old building. Thus it was that on 8th August 1982, in the presence of the then President of the Republic Sandro Pertini, the new Puez Refuge was inaugurated. In 2024 the Puez hut passed into the hands of the next generation and is now managed by Costa Denis, Pietro Costa's grandson. Assisted by his wife and two daughters, Denis carries on his grandfather's legacy with love and passion.

In our newly designed wine bar "Zirm" we serve tasty meat and fish dishes with ingredients of the highest quality with a large selection of wines. You find us right on the "Luis Trenker" promenade in quiet atmosphere away from all the hustle and bustle of the town.

The kitchen team at the Ansitz Jakoberhof combine traditional farmer’s dishes of Val Gardena with Italian delicacy. It also prepares appropriate plates for guests with special diets or food allergies. While it’s only possible to choose delicious dishes from our restaurant menu at lunch time (between 12 – 14.00 pm) you may also take part at the daily 4 course dinner menu with salad and cheese buffet we serve our hotel guests in the evenings. A vast choice of wines on our wine list will round off the chosen dishes and give you the best experience.
