The Kronplatz Bike Park is anything but ordinary. Instead of sketching trails on a drawing board, we went right into the forest and used whatever we found: Steep slope? Steep trail. Plenty of space? Perfect for jumps. Roots all over the place? Well, we’re in a forest, so there will be roots. In places where dredging was allowed, we put our excavators to work. And wherever it wasn’t, well, we didn’t. The result: At Kronplatz, there’s no copy-paste – each trail tells its own story. 

And the trail names are quite unique, too: Franz and Hans are already legendary. They’ve been a household name in the community for years. But their successors are by no means inferior to them and have long been among the favourites of countless TrailTrophy and Alpine Enduro Series participants.

With a total of 5 lifts and cable-cars (Kronplatz 2000 lift, Olang 1+2 lift, Ried lift, Ruis lift and Piz de Plaies lift) up and running all summer, our mountain bikers are spoilt for choice – that’s more than most places in the Alps can say for themselves. And with the exception of the Piz de Plaies lift, they all lead right to the peak at 2,272 m above sea-level, complete with jaw-dropping 360° views.

Families in particular will feel at home on the gentle slopes of the Speikboden ski area in the Tauferer Ahrntal valley, where about half of the wide pistes are classified as easy. The Family fun park offers fun for young and old and the snow park gives freestylers the chance to practice their latest tricks. Long carving turns are best enjoyed next to the Sonnklar lift. The ski area’s cable cars will take you up to 2,400 m above sea level, where you can enjoy the scenery of the surrounding three thousand metre peaks either from the viewing tower or on one of the many marked snowshoe hiking trails. An overnight stay in an igloo is one of the romantic highlights of the snow-secure Speikboden ski area. Family fun is not in short supply thanks to the two toboggan runs. At ten and eight km, they are the longest toboggan runs in South Tyrol.

In the heart of the Puster Valley, just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre, the new Loacker Café Olang awaits you – located right next to the train station and perfect for a delicious break at any time of day. Whether on your way to work, during an excursion in the Dolomites, or as a sweet stop after sports, the café invites you to relax and enjoy a selection of freshly prepared coffee specialities, refreshing drinks, and Loacker classics. Thanks to its proximity to the Puster Valley cycle path, it is also easily accessible by bike. In the integrated shop, you’ll find the full range of Loacker wafers as well as beautifully designed gift packs – perfect to take home or give as a present.

Right next to the valley station of the Olang 1+2 gondola lift in Gassl – where the Gassl Trail ends – a special highlight awaits all biking enthusiasts: the Jump Area Gassl.

This area impresses with a variety of exciting features: three drops, one kicker, a dirt jump kicker, and a kicker with airbag landing offer adrenaline and action for all skill levels.

An 80-metre-long conveyor belt takes riders and bikes effortlessly back to the starting point – for endless biking fun without the uphill effort.

And the best part: the Gassl Bar at the valley station is just around the corner and offers a spacious sun terrace for relaxing and watching the action.

For those of you who enjoy things the traditional way, you will feel right at home in our Pizza & Bistro section of Hardimitz‘n, located on the ground floor. Here you can experience the South Tyrolean way of life, with its exquisite pizzas baked in a wood fired oven, its touches of Mediterranean and the lovingly furnished rustic "Stuben". In addition, we offer colourful variety of salads, appetizers, finger foods and aperitives as well as fantastic chicken wings and other delicious selections to indulge your desires. The Restaurant & Steakhouse can be found on the second floor of Hardimitz‘n. Its interior design is truly magnificent and will surely take your breath away while you enjoy your meal. In a cozy atmosphere, you'll find a welcoming restaurant serving a pizza contemporanea and a modern Italian-Japanese cuisine – perfect for a delicious break after a walk around the lake.

The court Obermair Ehrenburg in Kiens, The first written mention of Obermair goes back to 1318 and is thus one of the oldest farms in the area. Initially belonged to the court of the Count Goertz, then the estate was frequently sold, inherited and sold again. Since 1860, guests at the inn run Obermair and already in 1900 the Obermairhof of Falkensteiner family has farmed. As you can see our kitchen pot is filled to the brim ... combined, refined dishes with an occasional touch of the exotic. Just the "magic of the diversity of South Tyrol".

The Mountain Hut Fanes is in the Nature Park Fanes-Senes-Braies.

Initial approach is from Valdaora di Sopra (Oberolang): drive to the parking area for tourists (approx. 1,160 m) below the Riedlerhöfe Farms. From there, follow trail markings (No. 20), first along a forest road to Rio Bruns (Brunstbach) Stream. Turn left again at the nearby crossroads, and head through the steep wooded slopes, partly on a forest road and then mostly on a steep footpath, up to a forested ridge. The last segment is a slope crossing, partly flat, over to the Brunstalm pasture and its mountain ??hut (1,898 m; serving food); 2 to 2.5 hours from the starting point. Descent: same as ascent described above or the easier, albeit longer, forest road; 1.5 to 2 hrs. At the Brunstalm, local dishes are served at lunchtime, making it the perfect stop during a bike tour or hike. In the summer months, we organise a weekly trip with the taxi to the alp – registration directly at our tourist office.

The Kronplatz mountain is especially popular with demanding skiers and snowboarders. While the young practice new tricks in the two snow parks, the brave plunge down the notorious 'Silvester' or 'Hernegg' black slopes to Riscone/Reischach, where the après-ski bars fill up in the evenings. In the kids’ parks and ski schools, guests learn to parallel turn on the flatter slopes. Thanks to modern lifts, Bruneck’s local mountain with over 100 km of slopes is accessible from three sides. The 'Piculin' lift even offers access to the 'Sellaronda ski circuit', and the Ski Pustertal Express transports excited skiers to the Three Peaks Dolomites ski resort in Hochpustertal. The Plan de Corones area is an especially spacious, sunny plateau with a 360° panorama of the surrounding mountain landscape. Here, a true architectural highlight awaits discovery: at the Messner Mountain Museum 'MMM Corones”, designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner puts guests into dialogue with the world’s north faces, the supreme discipline of mountaineering.

The Lanzwiesenalm is an ideal family destination with stunning views of the Olang mountains and traditional farmhouse cuisine made from regional ingredients. From Thursday to Sunday, breakfast is available by reservation only, from 8:30 to 10:30 am, at €19 per person. Panorama) - Trail 6B from Bad Bergfall (Citybus 435.2, stop: Bad Bergfall) By bike, the alpine hut can be reached via forest road no. 7 from Voppichl. In the summer months, we also offer a weekly taxi ride to the hut – bookable directly at our office.

Welcome to our idylic Enzian Hut in Antholz, in the mountains of South Tyrol in Italy. Experience untouched nature at Lake Antholz, fresh air and tranquility. Our restaurant offers a delightful range of traditional and contemporary dishes, all prepared with fresh local ingredients. Our chef and his team look very hard on quality and taste to create a unique and memorable experience for our guests. NEW: 2 wood ball tracks await the children. Kids can race wooden marbles through an adrenaline-packed obstacle course, negotiating dizzying curves plus all sorts of bumps and hurdles.

Meeting point and promenade... this is a place to come and go and come again. Located at the heart of the easy Plateau slope, this well-visited hut is also easy to reach, even for winter-sports novices. Its new, recently updated facade, the outstanding à la carte cuisine and the breathtaking 360° panorama and huge sun deck featuring the occasional musical "pick-me-ups" make this a favourite haunt for locals and visitors alike. For wheelchair users, a dedicated wheelchair is available to move around the hut comfortably. In addition, the toilet is barrier-free, ensuring that nothing stands in the way of a relaxed and enjoyable visit.

At the Olang swimming pool, summer ease meets holiday vibes: pleasantly warm water at 26–28 °C invites you to swim and splash – whether in the large pool with two diving boards or in the children’s pool for the little ones. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the volleyball courts, while those seeking relaxation can unwind on the spacious sunbathing lawn. Refreshing drinks and tasty snacks are served on the sunny terrace overlooking the playground. Thanks to its central location near the train station, right opposite the city bus stop (Olang, Schwimmbad) served by the busses 435.1 and 435.2, and just a few minutes from the Puster Valley cycle path, the Olang swimming pool is easy to reach – perfect for a carefree summer’s day with family or friends.

Easy reachable (also by car), departing point for numerous excursions (summer/winter), sun terrace, marvellous panoramic view, typical Ladin kitchen. The hut lies directly on the slopes of the ski area Plan de Corones – Kronplatz.

The Ütia de Börz hotel and restaurant in South Tyrol offers a cuisine made of simple and genuine flavours to be enjoyed in a cozy atmosphere while admiring an exciting and breathtaking panorama.

Dining in a historic farmhouse from the 16th century – in a lounge with original wooden panelling and a cosy farmhouse stove, or on the rustic and welcoming sunny terrace – is an experience in itself. The menu features homemade dishes prepared with regional products, often from our own farm: dumplings and pasta in various styles, cold platters, hearty soups, and a wide selection of desserts. The hut can be reached via trail no. 3 in Geiselsberg. At the starting point, Citybus 435.2 stops at Geiselsberg, Eggerweg. It’s also easily accessible by bike along this route – and for those who prefer, it’s possible to drive up by car. The hut is also open in winter and is located directly on the Gassl slope (no. 21). It is easily accessible in the winter season – by Citybus (combined with a short walk), by CallBus or car.
