Sigmund is one the most tradition-steeped restaurants in Meran’s Old Town. The miil restaurant in Tscherms is an old mill that was converted into a premium restaurant. Othmar Raich and his staff at the Kränzelhof wine estate are always on the lookout for new ideas, and their menu changes seasonally.

Young chef Franz Mulser conjures up superlative dishes in a small kitchen just two and a half square metres in size at an altitude of 1930 m. The young chef’s maxim is “fresh and natural”. The hut has a maximum capacity of 25 people and, in the evenings, meals must be booked in advance. During the day, hikers and, in winter, skiers and snowboarders come here in search of refreshment. The evenings are particularly relaxing and guests can enjoy Franz’s dishes, such as hay soup with truffles or local venison.
