Dolomites Tour from the Karer Pass to the Pederiva Hut and around the Croda Rossa The Dolomites Tour starts at the Karer Pass, a popular starting point in the Dolomites. From there, a gentle to moderately difficult climb leads to the Pederiva Hut, which is reached after about 510 meters of elevation gain. The trail is not technically difficult and has no exposed sections, but it is in high alpine terrain, which requires surefootedness and a head for heights. After a relaxing break at the hut, the hike continues along the panoramic trail, which offers an impressive circuit of the striking Croda Rossa. The route offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and valleys and combines the enjoyment of nature with a sporting challenge. The total length of the tour is approximately 7.5 kilometers, and the walking time is approximately 3.5 hours. Those who don't want to make the descent on foot can instead opt for a chairlift ride back down to the valley, saving some energy for the return journey. Alternatively, you can also visit the picturesque Carezza Lake on the return journey. With its turquoise waters and surrounding mountain scenery, it is one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. For refreshments, we recommend bringing a backpack with snacks and drinks. A hut break is planned around 1 p.m., where the Pederiva Hut offers refreshments. The return to Tramin is scheduled before 6 p.m., making the tour a good day trip. This Dolomites tour is ideal for hikers with moderate fitness and mountain experience who are looking for a varied, scenic route.

On almost every Wednesday evening in July and August, Andrian becomes an even more special meeting place - a place to enjoy the warm summer nights. Wine evenings alternate with aperitif evenings, and one Wednesday evening is dedicated to the kids. Local music groups guarantee you a pleasant atmosphere and a good mood. Various summer specialties are served: on some evenings it's finger food, on other evenings we offer warm dishes, always accompanied by either wines of the Andrian winery or aperitifs and other delicious drinks. For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

You will hear (only in German language) about the history of winegrowing, the vineyard plots, the varieties, the vine-training systems, and the estates and mansions you will encounter on the path. The castle ruins of Festenstein can be descirbed as Andriano's symbol. It reigns over Andriano from the lofty, rocky outcrop of the Gola del Rio Gaida, Its location was certainly a pondered chioce by the stonemason to ensure the weapns of the enemies would never reach the castle. At the same time, the spectacular lcation of the castle offers a 360° view across the lower Valle dell'Adige. Festenstein was first mentioned in written documente in the mid- 13th century. In 2008, Count Meinhard Khuen Belasi purchased teh castle ruins and commissioned, together with the South Tyralean Office for Cultural Heritage, various restoration measures to secure the state of the walls and protect the caste from further dererioration.
