Challenging routes, steep ascents, and dynamic descents – an ideal experience for experienced cyclists in good physical condition
The Waterfall Trail begins in the village of St. Anton in the upper Pflerschtal. In about 2.5 hours of ascent, we hike along the Waterfall Trail and reach the Furtalm at 1690 meters above sea level. We pass numerous waterfalls, accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape. After a relaxing lunch break, we will hike back down into the valley to the starting point.
Total duration: approx. 6 hours / approx. 500 meters of elevation gain / pure walking time 4.5 hours / Difficulty: Medium.

South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking itineraries.
From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the Fane Alm car park (1,700 metres). Following the path to Aschila, we will reach the Marblsee lake (2,250 metres) and then the Wildensee lake (2,532 metres), which at 46 metres is South Tyrol’s deepest Alpine lake. The return route will take us through the Labiseben Alm pasture and the Valler Schramme gorge back to Fane Alm.

There, a local farmer will welcome you and provide fascinating insights into the traditional craft of milling and the history of the region.
Along the way, you’ll pass the impressive earth pyramids—unique natural monuments formed in 1837 after a severe storm.

South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking trails.
Starting from the Winnebachtal car park (1,412 metres), we will make our way into the valley along the slightly ascending path that leads to the Astnerberg Alm pasture. From that point, the path gets steeper until we reach the waterfall, where a gentler section starts. This is followed by another ascent of medium difficulty to the Tiefrastenhütte hut and lake, where we will be welcomed by a staggering panorama that will make us forget all the effort. The way back is along the same route.
