Our family-run restaurant offers you specialities of the South Tyrolean cuisine. We are known for our roast mutton, our Kaiserschmarren and our homemade cakes. You can reach us from Dorf Tirol starting from the restaurant Tiroler Kreuz following the forest road; from Kuens following the irrigation channel path Kuenser Waalweg; along the Merano high altitude route (Meraner Höhenweg).

Restaurant Sonne - your restaurant for hikers and gourmets in the centre of Tirolo. The creative kitchen with regional racines and italian specialities lets every heart beat faster, whether you sit outside on the terrace with panoramic view or inside in one of our comfy rooms.

Our farmhouse tavern can be found right on the Merano High Mountain Trail and the Hochmuth cable car mountain station, and is the perfect starting point for a multitude of different hikes. We will be delighted to serve you with our own farm produce and hot food throughout on our sun terrace. Home production of speck bacon and Kaminwurzen smoked sausages. We can be accessed via the Hochmuth cable car; via the Vellauer Felsenweg trail, from the Leiteralm along the Merano High Mountain Trail; via the Tiroler Kreuz inn.

Arrival on the Hochmuth- already with the first step from the cablerrailway- nature purely. Our mountain inn spoils you with traditional lusciousness which comes from our own agriculture. If you enjoy and experience in a special panoramic situation in about 1.400 m above the famous health resort town of Merano and the Adige valley (Etschtal). Relax on our sun terrace and fill up with new strength for the coming excursions, wanderings or also everyday life. The special position makes our mountain inn an ideal starting point for many diverse wanderings and mountain hikes of all kind in the known Meraner to height way.

Are you looking for some peace in the village? Then you are right here! From 05.00 pm until 01.00 am at night, we serve snacks and pizza. Enjoy a cold beer on tap, a good glass of wine, Veneziano etc. Sport enthusiasts may enjoy our bowling alley. The "Kegelbar" team is looking forward to your visit!

The Talbauer Inn in Tirolo is in an impressive panoramic location. Especially favored by the climate, the Talbauer Inn sits at 1,200 m a.s.l. like an eagle's nest on the side of the Mut mountain above the spa town of Merano. The Gamper family has run a traditional inn here serving hearty cuisine since 1961. The Talbauer Inn stands at the heart of South Tyrol on the southern slopes of the Texelgruppe Nature Park with views of Merano and the Val d'Adige. It is a perfect place to stop and rest and the ideal base for summit ascents and multi-day hikes along the famous Merano High Mountain Trail.

Restaurant valley farm "Mutkopf" – your last stop on the way to the Mutpeak. The Mutkopf restaurant valley farm is an idyllic hiking destination with astonishing views over the Adige Valley (Merano side), the Venosta Valley up to the Ortler range and onto the peaks of the south-tyrolean Dolomites to the south. The Restaurant valley farm Mutkopf and the guesthouse Talbauer (Locanda) are run by members of the same family. A winding trail climbs up the mountain from the Talbauer, through the shaded forests up to a natural panoramic plateau. Here - at a height of 1684m - lies the guesthouse Mutkopf. This establishment is the last stop for hikers on the way to the Mutpeak and an ideal resting opportunity halfway to the lakes of Sopranes into the fascinating mountain landscape of the Texel Nature Park.

The Sandgruberhof is located in the pedestrian zone leading to Tyrol Castle, around 10 minutes on foot from the center of the village. The historic structure of the Sandgruberhof has been fundamentally preserved to the present day. It is easy to forget time and space in the centuries-old vaulted cellar, in the garden with its spectacular views and whilst enjoying the lovingly prepared dishes and delicacies.

Wonderfully located in a low-traffic, low-noise cul-de-sac and yet only a 10 min. walk to the town center. A cozy, homelike dining room, our large, peaceful terrace, and of course our beautiful garden with panoramic view provide you with a perfect spot. Dinner from 6 pm to 8 pm. 3-course-dinner. Tyrolean specialties and mediterranean delicacies. Fresh salads buffet. Table reservation until 11 am required.
