The ‘Gartner’ has a considerable role to play among the leading gourmet addresses in South Tyrol. The young squad headed by Toque-awarded chef Daniel Niedermair inspires hotel guests with a very contemporary and exceptionally creative cuisine, prepared using regional produce. Our guests dine either in the winter garden restaurant ‘The view’, in the dining hall ‘The Taste’ or in ‘The Stube’. At lunch time our guests chill on the wood terrace in the lounge, enjoying casual bistro dishes. For an aperitif and after dinner the terrace is a much-used meeting point. Cozy café with a little terrace in the pedestrian zone right by the church. We serve small snacks such as Bauerntoast sandwiches, tarte flambée, baguettes, ice cream and home-made cakes, roulades and strudel. Not forgetting delicious aperitifs to drink!

The Steinegg Inn can be found right on the Merano High Mountain Trail and the Hochmuth cable car mountain station, and is the perfect starting point for a multitude of different hikes. We can be accessed via the Hochmuth cable car; via the Vellauer Felsenweg trail, from the Leiteralm along the Merano High Mountain Trail; via the Tiroler Kreuz inn.
