Our chef is also at the disposal of those who, for particular reasons, need to keep to a special diet.

Our traditional inn has been owned by the Baumgartner family since 1850. We have recently restored it with an eye for the detail so that it is still as cozy and welcoming as it used to be. The annexe houses several apartments for those who want to keep to themselves and enjoy their holidays independently.

The Laurin hut with ist cosy Tyrolean room and sun terrace with a view oft the Sciliar is somewhere to really relax and enjoy. The hosts offer typical Tyrolean dishes in a comfortable atmosphere.

Our Restaurant Pizzeria “Zur alten Schmiede” is located in the center of Castelrotto at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi. We spoil you with savory dishes from the Italian and Tyrolean cuisine and tasty pizzas.

Enjoy on our terrace typical regional dishes, prepared with different herbs from our own garden. Our cook set great store by using fresh products from best quality. Hmmm, what a wonderful food fragrance touches my nose? I smell the warm sweetness of the potatoes and the spice smoked bacon. This mixture is refined, only just picked fresh alpine herbs and already on my plate! Appetite to get our Tyrolean Geröstl, or can it would rather be a freshly baked apple pie? The food on our mountain hut of Mahlknechthütte is very tasty and all meals are prepared with love.

The Heubad á-la-carte restaurant is equally appreciated by locals and hotel guests. The restaurant guide "Gault MIllau" is considering it one of the best restaurants in South Tyrol and awards it for years with a "toque" and 13 points. With its creative blend of South Tyrolean tradition and Mediterranean lightness, both for lunch and dinner it is a welcome addition to the delicious half board.

The Malga Laranzer Schwaige is situated in 1925 m at Saltria near the station on top of the Floralpina skilift. The Hans & Paula Steger Path, which leads you from Compatsch via meadow and alpine places to Saltria, passes directly the Malga Laranzer Schwaige. The panoramic view to Saltria, the Lang- and Plattkofel and the mountains of Val Gardena is wonderful!

The Sattler hut is situated at the foot oft he Denti di Terrarossa in the heart of the Dolomites. The hut offers local dishes and homemade Strudel and cakes. The Sattler hut is accessible via Panorama on trail no.2 and via the Laurin hut on the gravel path.

Restaurant Edelweiss is located between Tires and St. Zyprian, just off the main road.

Our hut is situated on the Alpe di Siusi in the middle of green mountain meadows rich of beautiful flowers. It ist he right spot for making a bread on your way up tot he Sciliar. Let yourself be papmpered with delicious typical homemade food, „Bretteljause“ (is a tasty South Tyrolean snack), specialities from milk and homemade desserts.
