The Seiser Alm high plateau is a cosy place and the wide slopes are ideal for families and beginners. You can hike over the rolling hills of this vast Alpine pasture and listen to the crunch of snow beneath your feet. Gourmets will want to stop in to the "Schwoage," a rustic Alpine hut with great food. From the chairlift already, the landscape of the Schlern Nature Park can be readily admired. The cross-country skiing trails that stretch across the high plateau demand endurance. Those interested in high jumps should head to the snow park, which is considered to be one of Italy’s best. A particularly romantic way to discover the winter landscape is by horse-drawn carriage. Those with a need for speed, on the other hand, can measure their quickness on the "Goldknopf" ski run. Featuring a direct lift connection to the neighbouring Val Gardena valley, guests can also take advantage of the countless slopes of the Dolomiti Superski skiing network.

Whether a South Tyrolean snack, bacon dumplings with goulash, potato dumplings with cabbage or classic Eisacktaler Schlutzkrapfen - all our dishes are homemade. And we use as many products as possible from our organic farm and cottage garden.

Furthermore, the children need only a few steps to get to the 2 floors games room or to the outdoor playground, located next to the large roof terrace, and with the longest slide across the Alpe di Siusi. On our terrace, with view on our pond, you can relax and enjoy the warmth of the sun while you spend a nice time in company, with a refreshing drink in our bar. The breathtaking panorama of the Alpe di Siusi and the Dolomites in the background also contributes to your happiness.

First mentioned in records in 1379, Fronthof farm is the largest fully-preserved farmhouse in South Tyrol built on a steep slope from stone and is something special. The old, panelled dining rooms provides the ideal setting for special occasions and makes a great stopping point after a walk along the 'Oachner Höfeweg' Farmstead Trail. Open from March to May on Sundays at midday, in July, August and September from Tuesday to Thursday from midday to 11.00 pm, in August also on Sundays at midday, in October and November from Wednesday to Sunday from midday to 11.00 pm. Advance booking recommended.

The Schgaguler hut offers typical dishes, as well as cheese, Speck (bacon) and local wines. Accessibility From Compaccio/Compatsch, follow trail no. 30 as far as Ritsch and then trail no. 9 to the Schgaguler hut. It takes ten minutes on foot from the mountain station of the Ortisei/St. Ulrich lift.

The Saltner Hut is open from the beginning of December to Eastern and in summer from Pentecost to the middle of October. We offer a lot of traditional South Tyrol and Italian dishes. The Saltner Hut organise also music events.

The refuge Tierser Alpl is situated on the saddle of the same name, a place where all paths seem to cross. On the way from the Schlern to the Lang- and Plattkofel, from the Seiser Alm to the Rosengarten, you’ll always pass this spot where Max Aichner, a mountain guide from Tiers, realised his idea of building his own refuge 50 years ago. Over the years, the refuge has been adapted to the needs of the times, but its spirit has remained the same. The refuge has become a place where people meet, seek shelter from the forces of nature or simply enjoy a good meal and a fine drop of wine.

We invite you to our culinary highlights of the South Tyrolean cuisine – traditional or with a new interpretation. Enjoy our south tyrolean break or our homemade cakes and desserts – and last but not least the stunning panoramic view on the Alpe di Siusi. We try to develop a close collaboration between the region’s agriculture and the tourism sector. RUSTIC - The old farmhouse parlour is more than 150 years old and comes from Val Pusteria. This special wood spreads a very pleasant and cosy atmosphere. COSY - Using a professional mixture of tradtional and modern style and the combination of the old wood from local forests with natural stone and glass create this special alpine flair AUTHENTIC - Food should be consumed there where it is grown and harvested – according to this principle we are buying food, ingredients and drinks from local farmers of the area.

The ‘Wood Cross Fit Parc’ is located on the "Jog" meadow above the Völser Weiher Lake. The CrossFit Parc was equipped according to the CrossFit principle. This means that the equipment is handmade from stone and wood and no plastic is used. The Wood CrossFit Parc above the Völser Weiher Lake has a total of 15 pieces of equipment, including rings and barbells made of stone and wood, pull-up bars and leapfrogs.

CrossFit is a full-body training method that combines elements of athletics, gymnastics, powerlifting, gymnastics and weightlifting. The training mainly uses your own body weight and barbells, but no machines. The aim of CrossFit is to build general and broad fitness.

The Tuffalm is located near the Völser Weiher at the foot of the Schlern mountain. Due to its idyllic location, culinary treats of the South Tyrolean cuisine and its surpassing hospitality, the rustic lodge is a popular destination for those who enjoy active and relaxed holidays. This is the ideal place to forget about time and worries. Immerse yourself in the marvellous nature and enjoy the view over the wide and lush alpine meadow.
