This scenic tour leads from Bruneck via the Pustertal Valley cycle route to Brixen.
A flowing trailround without great increases. Shady forests at Monte Tramontana, closed forest roads, short single trails, green meadows in the valley basin and sunny slopes at Monte Sole.
This 20 km-long tour is characterized by its great variety, which you can only find in Val Venosta Valley. The tour starts in Laces and takes you to Tiss and Coldrano along the slopes of Monte Sole. Pass by Coldrano Castle, continue to the Tschanderle hamlet and cross the river. The tour then takes you through the village of Vezzano and back to Coldrano where you continue through orchards until you reach the Holzbrugg bridge. Take the forest road and then the single trail along Monte Tramontana to the weather cross above Morter. Cross the village of Morter and go towards Val Martello until you reach the junction for Montani Castle.
In 2002, the Trans Alp race led along this irrigation channel path until the so-called Magrin Böden. You then continue on the "Südtirol Cup" route until the ice rink and the asphalt road. Cross the recreation area in Laces and return to your starting point.
One of the classic tours on the Laces "Nörderberg" - real alpine pasture food included.
From the car park of the Laces sports stadium (SportForum) we start in a southerly direction to the AquaForum adventure pool, then turn right to the ice stadium (IceForum) and straight to the Latscherhof and then to the forest path in the direction to Magrinböden. The forest path is now moderately steep but constant in the direction of Töbrunn. From there we crank the final stretch slightly up and down to the refreshment stop at the Latscher Alm. Homemade products and good dumplings as well as drinks containing electrolytes delight our bikers hearts. We return to the valley either via the same forest trail, the Tarscher Alm forest trail, the "Roatbrunn trail" (S3) or the "4-wins-13 trail" (S2).

Starting from the north of the country, the cycle route gently descends along the railway line in winding curves, leading you to Colle Isarco (Gossensass) and then on to Vipiteno (Sterzing). Shortly after leaving the Brenner Pass, you can enjoy your first Italian cappuccino in a charming cultural gem along the way.
The route then takes you straight into the heart of the Fugger town of Vipiteno – simply ride through the open arch of the iconic Zwölferturm (Tower of the Twelve). From there, the path continues over flat and slightly uphill sections, passing through villages and hamlets until you reach the impressive Franzensfeste Fortress. A stop here is highly recommended to explore the exhibition rooms of this historical structure, originally built for war but never actually used in combat.
The cycle path then takes you past the Vahrn Lake before arriving in the medieval bishop's town of Brixen. There, you can reflect on your tour with a glass of wine, stroll beneath the arcades, explore local culture, or head straight back into the peaceful natural surroundings.
And if your legs are running out of motivation, don’t worry – the train offers a comfortable way back to your starting point.
Thanks to a few jumps and some nice back and forth action, the Hammer Line guarantees airtime and variety at a length of 1.9 km and 165 metres of height. This line is sensational – it is awesome fun. The name of the line – Hammer – is the name of the landowner who has allowed Gravity Logic to construct the line in his woods.
Level of difficulty: Blue – easy
Line suitable for mountain bikers with safe, advanced riding technique and proficiency in jumping. There are artificial obstacles such as banked curves, wall rides, steep steps and jumps.
A fireworks of trails for experts with head for heights due to exposed S3-G5 passages at the Laces panoramic trail. S2 at the successive Propain trail.
The name of the Laces panoramic trail says it: the panorama is amazing. But this trail is also simply marvelous as it includes everything from technical and exposed passages with hairpins to flowing forest trails and stepped passages. Start at the mountain station of San Martino in Monte (1,740 m). First take the asphalt road and then the gravel hiking path no. 14. After about 2.5 km, the actual trail begins shortly after the Egghof.
Please note: There is a time regulation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for hikers only!
The partially rather exposed path with some technical passages takes you along the slope passing by the Laggar and Zuckbichl ruins. You will be overwhelmed by the wonderful panorama again and again. After a few flow sections, steep hairpins and a short stretch where bikes have to be carried (S3-S4) you get to a forest road and can start the propain trail shortly after Patsch.
The trail becomes more flowing but with many narrow turns on the beautiful trail floor of Val Venosta’s Sun Mountain. The sunny slope declines sharply near the trail and clearings offer views of the apple orchards and the fantastic mountain world. This trail section of 550 depth meters was built with a width of 80 cm and thus offers security to beginners and leaves space for speed and airtime to experts. If you don’t want to get off the bike, a good turn technique and back wheel lifting are required in narrow turns. You can stop for a refreshment with view at Fisolgut near Castel Schlandersberg with a few extra meters.
Several “Share the Trail” sections are marked. The rest of trail no. 14 as well as trail no. 7 are for hikers only!
From Algund to Meran in the direction of the Passeier Valley. Before you come to the Zenoberg bridge, which leads across the Gilf canyon, turn right uphill to the Passer dam. The cycle path leads you mostly on gravelled road along the river Passer, which you must cross (bridges) several times. Passing the villages of Riffian, Saltaus and St. Martin. The road is well marked and without extended uphill runs until St. Leonhard.

Fantastic trail with irrigation channels, ruins and apples at the southern edge of the forest in Laces.
Start at AquaForum and take the gravel path upwards (slight difference in altitude) on the so-called Rehpromenade and the fitness trail until you get to the irrigation system’s reservoir pond. Turn right before the bridge and follow the hilly trail through the cool forest winding along Hunter’s path and Neuwaal irrigation channel path until the Montani di Sopra castle ruin. The alternation between pedaling sections and slight downhill flow requires technical skills. The Montani di Sopra castle ruin awaits you with a wonderful view and the famous St. Stephen’s chapel with its frescoes. Technique fans will be enchanted by the fine hairpin trail before you return on relatively flat paths and along the Mareinwaal irrigation channel path. You can then enjoy a cool beer and a good dish along your way at Bierkeller, the pizzeria at AquaForum or in the village of Laces. Please note: Many “Share the Trail” sections! Descent and connection variants: Turn left towards Morter just after the cycle path below Montani di Sopra and then on the Morterer Leger route until the access to the Scheibenkofel Trail or up to the Holy Hansen Trail.
Fitness & Fun
This trail is best described as a bit of a rascal: cheeky, naughty, unpredictable and rough around the edges. The perfect trail to break a sweat and have tons of fun while toiling away. But a word of caution: It’s only suitable for riders who are already good at manoeuvring their bike safely.
Christian starts at the Bergfreundehütte inn, where it forks off from the Herrnsteig trail. After about 1 km, it merges with the Franz trail.

This bike route through the Isarco Valley is a pleasure tour that offers idyllic scenery. Rolling hills, small towns and cultural treasures line this well-marked bike route, which leads from Brennero to South Tyrol’s capital city of Bolzano. The Brennero/Brenner–Bolzano/Bozen Bike Route starts at the Brenner Pass and runs along the former railway line, which is at a slight downhill grade, to Vipiteno/Sterzing. The marked bike path then continues, partly flat and with a light ascent, through picturesque villages and small hamlets up to Franzensfeste Fortress, past Lake Vahrn, and along the Kastanienweg (Chestnut) Trail towards Novacella/Neustift Abbey and then continuing on towards Bressanone/Brixen. The section from Bressanone to Bolzano is again a brisk ride through the narrow Isarco Valley, with a stopover in the little artists’ town of Chiusa/Klausen, known for its imposing hilltop Säben Abbey. From there, the route continues to the capital city of Bolzano. The Brennero/Brenner–Bolzano/Bozen Bike Route runs a total length of 96 kilometers from Brennero to Bolzano.
The Rock Line was created from the lower part of the Sky Line in 2024. Sky Line and Rock Line can still be ridden in one go. Just like the Ski Line, the Rock Line is steep and technically demanding and requires very good control, excellent jumping technique and safe driving skills. It starts at the middle station of the Plose gondola lift and ends just before the valley station.
