    This drinking water fountain is located in the centre of the village in Monguelfo, opposite the Hotel Goldene Rose.

    The project "Mindful on the Mountain" aims to sensitise visitors and tourism professionals in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site to environmentally friendly behaviour and to create awareness for respectful and responsible behaviour on the mountain but also in everyday life. The main topics are drinking water and waste avoidance, and the project will also record water refill points along hiking and cycling trails.

    We are in a sunny, peaceful location bursting with nature at 1,420m in the hills situated above Welsberg/Monguelfo. It is not only a restaurant to visit for a meal but also a lovely place to spend a few hours– whether as a couple or a family. You can reach the restaurant comfortably by car from the centre of Monguelfo in just 10 minutes, or if you are the outdoors type there are many walking trails that pass our door. Our chef creates traditional home-made Tyrolian specialities as well as international favourites. We spend our time searching for the highest quality local ingredients. We use fresh herbs and home-grown produce from our vegetable garden when the seasons allow. Enjoy the family atmosphere in our homely ’Stube’ which makes for a memorable experience. Naturally, we also welcome children with meals prepared specially for them. Afterwards they can have some fun and enjoy the outdoor playground. Only on reservation. Closed on Monday.

    The Hochrautalm, or Alpine pasture Hochrautalm, is accessible from Tesido. It is preferable to travel to the starting point with the Citybus Monguelfo-Tesido line 438. In Tesido, you start from the parking lot (€) above the mountain inn Mudler and enjoy a pleasant hike either along the forest road (marked with signs 31/5A/5) in about 90 minutes or, alternatively, take the forest road first and then the shortcut (marked with signs 31/5A/5C) in about 40 minutes. Once you reach the Hochrautalm Alpine pasture, you can indulge in South Tyrolean specialties for both young and old, as well as enjoy a breathtaking view towards the Antholz Valley and Plan de Corones. Marvel at gentle green hills and distinctive mountains... All of this combined with delights like dumplings or apple strudel! Or perhaps you'd prefer a burger?

    The Regiohof farm, run by the Brugger family, is located at about 1,400 m in the picturesque Val Casies/Gsiesertal Valley. For over 20 years, the family has specialized in growing alpine strawberries – small, aromatic, and full of flavor. These berries are transformed into jams, syrups, nectars, and a one-of-a-kind fruit mustard.
    Today, the assortment includes mountain herb, flower, and fruit grappas, homemade herbal and floral salts, herbal teas, honey, and delicious cookies. Inspired by old recipes, the family’s motto is “Enjoy like in the old days.”
    The farm shop offers honest, handmade products from nature. Visits are possible by appointment.
