The Hochrautalm, or Alpine pasture Hochrautalm, is accessible from Taisten. It is preferable to travel to the starting point with the Citybus Welsberg-Taisten line 438. In Taisten, you start from the parking lot (€) above the mountain inn Mudler and enjoy a pleasant hike either along the forest road (marked with signs 31/5A/5) in about 90 minutes or, alternatively, take the forest road first and then the shortcut (marked with signs 31/5A/5C) in about 40 minutes. Once you reach the Hochrautalm Alpine pasture, you can indulge in South Tyrolean specialties for both young and old, as well as enjoy a breathtaking view towards Antholz and Kronplatz.
