On your search for a hidden treasure, your aim is to collect letters from a total of nine stations and spell out the mysterious solution. The quest begins at the Concordia 2000 peace bell and ends at its miniature version in the Little Kronplatz adventure park. Those who’ve successfully discovered all nine letters have also had a chance to marvel at some impressive sights at the top of Mount Kronplatz.

How does the treasure hunt work?

• Upon buying a junior or children's ticket, you will receive a stamp card for the solution, a map and instructions from any of the ticket offices in the valley stations.
• Visit the nine stations in the right order and stamp the letters on the respective field on your card.
• Once you’ve found all the letters and spell out the correct word, you can collect your treasure from one of our mountain stations.

• Where: The stations are spread out around the summit.

  Prices: When you buy a children’s or junior ticket, the Kronplatz treasure hunt is included free of charge.

A foray through the animal world of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park for young and old.

12 corten steel screens, realised by local craftsmen, in the shape of the mountain peaks of our Dolomites, create an interactive course and make the wildlife of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park come alive in a very special way. 

While roaming the course, kids can search for the hidden push buttons to trigger the respective animal sound.

Our family business is set in the midst of the South Tyrolean Alps at an altitude of 850 m. Our name stands for tradition; we have produced essential oils and herb products for four generations. Our raw material derives from high alpine altitudes and is ethically supported by the surveillance of rangers in order to maintain the balance of pasturage. Our customers can trust our traditional knowledge, which allows us to produce pure, high-quality essential oils. The herbs cultivated derive from our own produce, according to organic, certified agriculture. In order to maintain the plants’ energy, which determines the high quality of our products, our customers can trust our handcrafted produce from harvest to filling. Our 110-year-old tradition as well as our produce and harvest according to the moon calendar allow us to do so. We are dedicated to obtaining not just quantity but also high quality-produce. Our concern is to offer our customers 100% pure and high quality essential oils and herb products that contain a high proportion of herb ingredients and agents. The Gunther Messner Bivacco was set up in 1972 in 2.529m above sealevel in the Pfitsch Tal under the icewalls of Hochferner and Hochfeiler near the border to Austria.

In the year when the Bivacco was built, South Tyrol became an autonomy. In 1919 Tyrol was divided due to the Friedensverträgen von St. Germain.

A Bivacco is generally a small and simple structure. It should have been a place of security, as well as encounter, understanding and confrontation.

The Bivacco project was launched on the centenary of the St. Germain peace traits. It was exhibited at the 58th Venice Art Biennale. The Bivacco is an allegory of Italy in the middle of the Alps. It shows a country, which has always been crossed by people and animals. The idea was therefore to remove the power of borders, so that people could cross them. The sea and the Alps have always been closely connected.

The Venice Biennale wanted to support South Tyrolean artists and thus tries to spread their art throughout the world. Various artists have worked with and around the Bivacco. The interpretations are mainly about the connection of nature and the mountains with humans, but also about freedom. The genetic connection between Reinhold Messner and his brother Günther has also been shown.

From December to the beginning of March, the kids park in Pfalzen invites you to play and run in the snow. With the sled, the skates or on the snow tubing lane, fun is guaranteed. A short 120 m track, suitable for children, with a magic carpet allows beginners with skis to make the first turns on the snow. The toboggan run or bobsleigh is illuminated and the ice rink is the ideal meeting point for those who want to have fun on the ice. If you want to take a walk with your family, just follow one of the beautiful hiking trails that lead directly from the park in the middle of the winter landscape.

Big or small, old and young: At the Little Kronplatz adventure park, everyone is in for a treat!

Let Little Kronplatz show you the exciting winter-wonderland of skiing at Kronplatz.

At this family-friendly “miniature” version of the ski resort, kids and grown-ups can see, experience and learn in a playful way how a ski station works. A total of five different stations promise all kinds of fun and entertainment:

The first is a snow cat, which children can climb into to get a first-hand glimpse of these impressive tracked snow groomers. An interactive buzzer brings the snow cat to life, as it explains what its job is during the winter season at Kronplatz.

The snow cannon, too, has a buzzer – one that conjures up snowflakes of a very special kind: soap bubbles. And of course the snow cannon also explains who it is and what it does in a simple, child-friendly way.

But the absolute highlights are no doubt the 6 m tall, climbable lift mast and the summer tubing track. With its air-cushioned tyres, the summer tubing track never fails to deliver buckets of adrenaline and fun galore. And while the magic carpet takes the brave tubers back to the starting point, they get to find out more about “enchanted conveyor belts”.

And of course there’s also the no. 1 attraction on Kronplatz – the stunning Concordia 2000 peace bell: Little Kronplatz has its very own miniature version of the beautiful instrument, and it’s one of the hands-on gems of the park. With the help of a rope, kids can make it chime and delight everyone near and far with the lovely and impressive sound of the bell.

A fantastic experience not only for our youngest guests – grown-ups too can learn, explore and experience all kinds of new things at Little Kronplatz!

The lake Issinger Weiher – more than just water! The lake Issinger Weiher is one of the last pond biotopes in South Tyrol. Our bathers thoroughly enjoy the intense experience of nature in a still healing atmosphere. To bath, sunbath and relax in such an intact nature, you can consider it as a privilege.

 

Set at the top of Mount Kronplatz at a dizzying 2275 m above sea-level, this giant swing is an absolute must for you adrenaline junkies out there. Find out what it's like to be hoisted up to a height of 15 m by a cable winch and hurtled through the air attached only to a couple of steel ropes. Once you're up there, all you have to do is unclick the fastening and off you go: dashing out into the open sky! Not for the faint-hearted! Price: 13€

Adventure, freedom and fun in close contact with mountain nature and in the company of Siberian huskies. These are the ingredients of sleddog. A sleigh pulled by a team of dogs will accompany couples and families, adults and children (from 3 years of age) through the magical landscape of the Nature Park Puez-Odle with an expert guide. For them it will be an opportunity to push themselves along the Passo delle Erbe (Antermoia), glide through the snow at the foot of the Sasso Putia, flanking the ascents and descents with the sparkling air that blushes the face and the fairytale atmosphere that conquers.

Ladin Museum - Tor Castle In the very heart of the Dolomites live more than 30,000 Dolomite Ladins whose identity is characterised mainly by two important features: the uniqueness of their language, which derives from popular Latin, and the extraordinary mountain landscape at the heart of the southern Alps. It is only thanks to the physical characteristics of this landscape that the Ladin language has survived today. It is the eldest of all languages spoken in this region and is restricted by the Italian and the German cultural and linguistic areas that surround it. The way through the museum focuses on some significant aspects of the present and past lives of the Dolomite Ladins, highlighting the important influences of cross-regional events on the lives of the population and pinpointing the existing interrelations between landscape forms and lifestyles. The museum is housed in the Ciastel de Tor, a castle dating back to 1230, created as a fiefdom of the Bishops of Brixen.

The castle is available as a wedding venue for couples interested in crowning an unforgettable day and experiencing a fairytale moment in a medieval castle.

Swimming - Issinger Weiher pond

Giving yourself some time off to spend with friends or simply just lying in the sun and diving into a nice book – lazy afternoons by the outdoor swimming area are an inseparable part of summer. The Laghetto d’Issengo-Issinger Weiher pond is the perfect place for carefree unwinding. Children, on the other hand, will find ample opportunities to play with other kids and to explore the lovely natural swimming pond. The beautiful little lake is just a few miles from Chienes-Kiens and is surrounded by an aromatic spruce forest. A cafe and a restaurant are directly adjacent to the swimming area. And just a few minutes’ walk to the east is the tight rope course, with a variety of exciting routes for both experts and beginners.

What to do with skis, snowboards and damp boots after a day on the slopes? The ski deposit Giggeralm Rentaski in Reischach/Riscone is the ideal place. Equipped with modern furnishings and heated boxes, the equipment is deposited safely and your boots will dry overnight, so that you can wear them warm and dry the next day.

A few steps away from the Cron4 pools at the sports park in Reischach, children can have fun in the snow.

Between a short toboggan run (approx. 30 metres), an ice skating ring, a playground and a mini-zoo, fun for the whole family is guaranteed.

The medieval Schoneck Castle is located 958 meters above sea level and is said to be the birthplace of the famous poet and playwright Oswald von Wolkenstein (1377-1445), although this has not been historically proven . It is believed that the ruins of Pacherhof, birthplace of famous artist and sculptor Michael Pacher, are also nearby. Schöneck Castle was built in the mid-13th century by the Dukes of Rödeneck; The first mention of this complex dates back to 1155 and 1164.

Over time, it became the property of the Tyrolean counts, and Engelmar von Willanders later became the owner of the Schoneck estate. Today, not only the cathedral is preserved, but also fragments of the palace, ruins of the chapel and fragments of the historic wall. In the ruins of the castle chapel there is also a fresco by master Michael Pacher. The castle is private property and inaccessible. Today, there is also a restaurant of the same name nearby.

Have you ever played on a 40 m long rolling ball sculpture? No? Well then, Kronplatz is the place to be!

At the Kronplatz marble run, kids can race wooden marbles through an adrenaline-packed obstacle course, negotiating dizzying curves plus all sorts of bumps and hurdles. A matching set of beech-wood balls that double as a perfect souvenir to take home can be purchased on site.
