The Talbauer Inn in Tirolo is in an impressive panoramic location. The Gamper family has run a traditional inn here serving hearty cuisine since 1961. The Talbauer Inn stands at the heart of South Tyrol on the southern slopes of the Texelgruppe Nature Park with views of Merano and the Val d'Adige. It is a perfect place to stop and rest and the ideal base for summit ascents and multi-day hikes along the famous Merano High Mountain Trail.

The Gasthof Jocher is located in the middle of alpine meadows directly below the Vigilius church. The residence is a playful Early Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th Century. For several generations, the beautiful, romantic building has been private property and was changed into a bar and Törggele cellar. The residence consists of some oriel towers, a free-standing staircase with loggia, simple wooden ceilings and decorative frescoes. The entire residence reflects pride and beauty. Many years ago, it was protected from the road by a battlement wall.

Delight yourself with our home-made gourmet delicacies. Try our seasonal platters, traditional snacks, burgers, cakes, wraps, chocolate fondues and ice creams. Our establishment, which is ten minutes above the famous Tappeinerweg trail surrounded by vineyards, is the perfect destination for visitors looking for peace and relaxation. The Sandgruberhof is located in the pedestrian zone leading to Tyrol Castle, around 10 minutes on foot from the center of the village. The historic structure of the Sandgruberhof has been fundamentally preserved to the present day. It is easy to forget time and space in the centuries-old vaulted cellar, in the garden with its spectacular views and whilst enjoying the lovingly prepared dishes and delicacies.

South Tyrol’s first Teppanyaki restaurant was opened by none other than Toshio Kobatake, Teppanyaki chef at ‘Toshi’ in Munich. The “Schlemmer Atlas”, a restaurant guide for the German-speaking region, named his restaurant the “Ethnic restaurant of the year”. The two men took our sous chef, Roman, under their wing for an entire year – he couldn’t have had better training, even in Japan – and schooled him in the art of genuine Teppanyaki cuisine. Now, Roman serves our guests at the Teppanyaki grill in the Sky restaurant at the Quellenhof in South Tyrol.
