The mountain pine oil distillery "Georg Thaler" is located in San Martino in the Sarntal Valley (South Tyrol). The oils we offer are natural essential oils without any preservatives or other chemical additives.

Ario Selenati came from Trieste and, together with his wife, and the
uncle of today’s owner, opened a hardware store. In 1970, the then
employee – Albino Zanoni – took over the business and renamed it.
In 2014, after helping his uncle Albino in the store for many years
and learning the ropes of the trade on the job, following his technical
vocational studies, Silvio Zanoni started running the business.

Welcome at Tschager's shop

South Tyrolean arts and crafts shop in the middle of the old town. The Tschager family is best known for production of sacred and profane statues.

Fruits and vegetables.
The building mainly consists in the sales room of the greengrocery and the flower shop plus the administrative spaces with stock, office, bath room and heating room. While the administrative spaces are located northwards, thus forming the backbone of the building, the sales room opens to the south.

The shop Frilo is located in Auna di Sotto. There you will find all kinds of groceries. 

Due to my passion for the mountains and especially for alpine mountaineering, I spend a lot of time in nature in summer and winter.
Again and again I see the most wonderful and unique creations and whims of nature.
 The most beautiful ones are often found in inaccessible places and the recovery is usually difficult.
In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, it gives me pleasure to take such pieces and put them in the limelight.
 This hobby soon became a passion and finally the company Mannart was born.
 Unique and full of energy, each unique piece brings warmth and well-being into every dwelling and satisfies the longing for nature and wilderness.

Back in the day, butchers would throw out whatever parts they
couldn’t use or sell into courtyards – but as the adage goes, somebody’s
trash is another’s treasure, and so chandlers would gleefully
collect those valuable ingredients to make their candles and soaps.
It made sense then for Josef Anton Thaler to open a soap workshop
in 1763 in the very same place where Thaler’s modern premises lie.
He was so successful he later went on to become a supplier of medical
goods to the court and a colonial warehouse and shop for the
local populations: local farmers would come into town to purchase
spices from the Middle East, among other items on display. In 1946,
the Schwienbacher family purchased the store. Hans Schwienbacher
was a far-sighted man who succeeded in creating a booming
business, set up a wholesale operation and then handed control
and oversight to his daughters Heidi and Veronika. The siblings are
still very much involved in running the company. At the turn of the
century, having a niche was seen as that extra special something –
in this case, exclusive perfumes, wellbeing and beauty routines, and
luxury design and furniture for the living areas. In 2012, the family
decided to expand their business and started dipping their toes in
the beverage and restaurant world.

Butcher's shop Schrott has been operating for more than 40 years and you will not find just high quality meat there. Dumplings, lasagna, schlutzkrapfen, sauces, side dishes and much more are waiting to be tested.

Back in the day, Pfaff sewing machines were sold from door to door –
and that’s exactly what Josef Mohr from Swabia did. He opened the
shop in the Portici in 1911 and the range of products also included
typewriters and, at a later stage, gramophones, and records. His
sons, Alfred and Karl, grew the business with the help of their wives
by adding repair and delivery services. Christian Mohr represents
the third generation to run the business, and the trained sewing
machine technician became the store owner in 1990. He learnt the
importance of diligent work and being close to one’s customers
from his father Karl and mother Maria, phased out the slowly shrivelling
music department with its outdated CDs after renovating the
store, and got rid of wool and knitting utensils to expand his sewing
clientele with more professional and numerous services.
