The refuge is an ideal place for recreation during a hike or to stop for a bite to eat during a ski day – on your way on the Sellaronda, don't hesitate to visit us at the refuge Edelweiss. Our kitchen offers tasty dishes of typical Ladin, Mediterranean and express cuisine. For a slightly different evening, we invite you to try a hut dinner, which we organise weekly during the winter (every Thursday evening on reservation. Snowcat transport).

The Puez hut was built in 1889 by the Austro-German section of the Alpenverein. After the First World War it passed to the Bolzano section of the CAI which, in 1940, handed it over to the well-known alpine guide Pietro Costa, an expert ski instructor and passionate hunter. Costa ran the hut until 1989 and then passed the helm to his children Oscar and Gemma. With the passing of the years and the explosion of high-altitude tourism, needs changed. In order to adapt to the times, the CAI decided to build a new, larger and more modern hut next to the old building. Thus it was that on 8th August 1982, in the presence of the then President of the Republic Sandro Pertini, the new Puez Refuge was inaugurated. In 2024 the Puez hut passed into the hands of the next generation and is now managed by Costa Denis, Pietro Costa's grandson. Assisted by his wife and two daughters, Denis carries on his grandfather's legacy with love and passion.

Enjoy a selection of the many culinary delights that our host and Chef Karl and his experienced kitchen staff prepare. Relax and let us guide you throught the menu, from finely garnished bacon and cheese platters, delicious soups, generous Italian and South Tyrolean starters to exquisite meat and bushmeat dishes. Served as a feast for the eyes, the local specialties such as tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, spinach noodles or dumpling dishes give you the flair of the South Tyrolean Alps. Our desserts like the homemade apple pie, the delicious “Germknödel” (germ dumpling) or our “Preiselbeeromlettes” (Cranberry omelettes) provide a cozy warm feeling in the stomach when the mountain air stimulates your appetite.

Our hut is located on the same-named mountain Stevia (2.312 m), in the natural park Puez Geisler and in the UNESCO world natural heritage. Enjoy with good local cuisine our comfortable atmosphere and our unique location with a breath-taking panorama view.

The Ütia Nagler is located in the beautiful Dolomites of Alta Badia, below the Sasso Santa Croce in Badia. The cuisine of the Ütia Nagler in Badia is a homage to the flavours of South Tyrol. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional Ladin dishes prepared with care and passion. Among the most popular dishes are the homemade cajincì (stuffed crescents), various types of polenta, eggs and bacon potatoes, apple strudel with vanilla sauce. There is also no shortage of classic dishes such as pasta and steaks. Ice cream sundaes are very popular in the summer. On colder days, hot chocolate, steaming mulled wine and bombardino are always available. The Alfarei family has been running the refuge since 2004. The cooperation and experience of the family make for a particularly friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which pervades the entire refuge.

The Saltner Hut is open from the beginning of December to Eastern and in summer from Pentecost to the middle of October. We offer a lot of traditional South Tyrol and Italian dishes. The Saltner Hut organise also music events.

The RIFUGIO TONI DEMETZ is located in the heart of the Dolomites, majestically embedded between the peaks of the SASSOLUNGO and the CINQUE DITA (5 Fingers) on the high rocky pass of the FORCELLA DEL SASSOLUNGO. We are here in midst of an ancient coral reef where more than 220 million years ago flowed the Tethys Sea. The RIFUGIO TONI DEMETZ is the ideal starting point for many trekking, hiking and rock climbing routes. Also a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the breathtaking and charming scenery of the Dolomites declared as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 2009. In 1954, the mountain guide Giovanni Demetz wanted to build here a refuge, a shelter from wind, rain and snow, a restoring place where you can admire the surrounding landscape from. With great passion and dedication, Enrico Demetz, Giovanni's youngest son, still runs the refuge together with his wife and daughters.

Panorama Hut is situated in Selva di Val Gardena near the Passo Gardena at an altitude of 2130 meters. An exclusive refuge in Alta Badia - the ideal place in summer and winter. The PIZ BOÉ Alpine Lounge, at an altitude of 2,200 metres, adjacent to the mountain station of the Boé cable car, is conveniently accessible for everyone: skiers, hikers or even families with children. Near the Sanctuary, at the foot of Mount S. Croce you can discover one of the most famous and old mountain huts of the region. The little church dates back to 1484, while the house was built later in 1718. The mountain hut, where once pilgrims and wayfarers would stop, offers a welcoming and typically local environment, with old lounges, walls completely covered in wood and with the characteristic stone floors. Here you can find the famous "Kaiserschmarren" with bilberry jam, the eggs with speck and potatoes and the polenta with cheese and muschrooms. During the summer season it is also possible to stay overnight.

Ütia Paraciora has a family atmosphere, ready to welcome anyone who wants to get to know our valley. Visiting the Ütia Paraciora means immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the Dolomites, tasting the local cuisine and experiencing the warm welcome typical of Alta Badia. It all began on 26 December 1993 with the Castlunger family. The years have passed, but the hospitality and the warmth of the management have remained and we would like to welcome you. Ütia Paraciora is a refuge located between the villages of Badia and La Villa and is a point of reference for those who want to stop for a bite to eat, a short break or to recharge their batteries.
