At the centre of the stage, a soft, transformable ball becomes everything: a belly, an animal, a funny character. The ball, an object familiar to children, stimulates physical interaction, curiosity and imagination, in a journey that combines sensory experience and cognitive growth. On Shrove Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Tramin will once again shine in the colorful splendor of the Children’s Egetmann Parade – one of the oldest and most fascinating carnival traditions in the Alpine region, dedicated specifically to the young people of Tramin in even-numbered years. This parade is a miniature version of the grand Egetmann Parade and offers a unique glimpse into the traditional carnival season. The children take on the roles of the adults: trumpeters, Ausschnöller, Ausmesser, and Wegmacher lead the procession, followed by the Schnappvieher and the magnificent wedding carriages of Egetmann-Hansl. Other colorful floats, including those of the bakery, the smithy, and the famous Altweibermühle, complete the vibrant spectacle. A special highlight of this parade is that girls are allowed to participate, making it even more diverse and lively. In contrast, in the adult Egetmann Parade, women are not permitted to join. This rule is rooted in a long-standing historical tradition.

Rigoletto intertwines Verdi's drama with the life of a travelling theatre company, transforming each performance into a collective ritual of emotions and truths. With few props, skilful lighting and intense performances, it reveals the boundary between reality and fiction, offering a glimpse into theatre work, stage machinery and behind the scenes. The viewing is accompanied by a reflection on the themes of the opera: the father-daughter relationship, sacrifice for love, disguise, and the desire for transformation. A reading of the female role is also central, to educate students in respect and empathy. An interdisciplinary experience designed to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking.
