Traditional farmer and handscraft market in the town center! As one of the oldest market villages of South Tyrol, San Candido will follow the tradition of the farmer's market with a demanding and innovative program. The project is called "Heugabel" and describes the farmer market and the farmer life.

Discover the fascinating world of sculptures at the first international sculpture exhibition in Staudenparadies! From 27 April to 28 October, 19 well-known international artists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy will be presenting their impressive works. The variety of materials, including wood, metal, stainless steel and iron, promises a unique exhibition that appeals to all the senses. Immerse yourself in a world of life-size sculptures that transform the Staudenparadies garden into an impressive sculpture park. The exhibition not only serves as a platform for artists to present their work, but also aims to highlight the cultural differences and similarities in sculpture. The focus is also on promoting the regional art scene, giving South Tyrolean artists the opportunity to present themselves on an international level. The aim is to awaken everyone's interest in art and culture and to walk through the world with more open eyes. Come and experience the fusion of nature and art at the first international sculpture exhibition in Staudenparadies. Together we will create an inspiring atmosphere that celebrates artistic creativity and strengthens the community.

The "Leonardiritt" begins on Saturday with a special evening dedicated to Ladin music. Gastronomic specialties will be served in the tent. On Sunday the festivities continue with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 09:00 a.m. and with the horse parade in honour of San Leonardo, patron saint of horses and riders, with horses and traditional costumes from South Tyrol at 10:45 a.m.. The music bands from Moena, St. Georgen and Badia will take part in the parade. On Saturday there is musical entertainment with local groups: 19:00 - 20:30: Julian & Band 21:00 - 22:30: Alexander Dal Plan 23:00 - 12:30: Wisetime The festival continues in the events hall with gastronomic specialties and musical entertainment. The event will take place even in case of bad weather. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

The traditional Christmas market takes place from 26th November 2021 to 6th January 2022 in the town centre of Brunico. The guests will find lovely decorated stands with arts and craft, sweet treats and handmade gifts as well as several culinary delights at the Christmas market. Concerts, music, ice rink and the Advent Calender.

In a valley in which dialect and garb are still alive, it is not unusual that its tradition is thoroughly cultivated. The „Klöckeln“, is a pre-Christian custom practised the first weeks of December and has an old tradition.

The beautiful historic center of Castelrotto once again provides the backdrop for the many small stalls that offer gifts, handicrafts, nativity figures, South Tyrolean products, herbs, candles and much more for sale to visitors. With mulled wine and fragrant cookies, homemade "Kastelruther Krapfen" visitors can listen to the Christmas music, escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and experience a few contemplative moments. This year we will pass the time with handicrafts and games for our little visitors, while the adults can comfortably taste a fragrant mulled wine. Wise brass instruments, alphorn players, choirs and singers will round off the Christmas program.

The snow is transformed and comes to life through the snow sculpture competition in Selva di Val Gardena. This competition, now in its 28th edition, is an adventure in creativity and originality, where participants challenge themselves by working with a fascinating and intricate medium. The result? Perfect and evocative works that seem to come to life. This competition has now become a tradition, having started in the early '90s. Sculptors and artists, mainly from the valley, who typically work with wood, enjoy three days of creating their giant-sized figures in icy snow. It's a spectacle that you can admire for hours, always discovering new details meticulously carved by the sculptors. This year, the theme of the competition focuses MUSIC, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Wolkenstein music band, which will be celebrated in 2025. The winners of the snow sculpture competition will be chosen by an expert jury. In addition, a People's Choice Award will be awarded separately. The award ceremony will take place on Monday, 30 December 2024 at 4 p.m. on the municipal meadow.

It has now become a tradition, the Kastelruth farmers' wedding. This is a faithful re-enactment of a historical peasant wedding, as was customary at the foot of the Seiser Alm. Thanks to the involvement of the many participants, who proudly wear and present the old traditional costumes, the event has developed into one of the most magnificent traditional costume shows in South Tyrol. The highlight of the spectacle is the wedding procession from St. Valentin to the center of Kastelruth. Dressed in traditional costumes, the wedding party parades into the center of Kastelruth on magnificently decorated horse-drawn sleighs, taking visitors on a journey back in time to the 19th century. All that keeps these pure white sculptures alive is the bitter cold. At night floodlighting creates amazing new effects. 30 artists from all over the world will put their skills on display in the intern. Snow Sculpturing Festival taking place at San Candido/Innichen and at San Vigilio di Marebbe/St. Vigil in Enneberg. With the help of water and the freezing temperatures, fresh snow from the surroundings is packed to form giant cubes measuring 3x3x3 metres and placed at various points in the village.
