Characterising the cross-country skiing trail in Solda is easy. It is a simple but fascinating route at 1,900 m above sea level with views of the Ortler, Cevedale and Königspitze mountains. With the certainty of snow throughout the winter, the 4,8 km long, high altitude trail in Solda is sure to excite skating and classic cross-country skiers. The high altitude trail in Solda is groomed from the middle of December to the middle of April. The ticket can be purchased directly at the valley station of the Kanzellift, at the valley station of the cable car, at the Cevedale practice slope, at Sport Thöni or at the information office. You will find parking spaces directly at the Kanzellift or at the entrance to the village.

The two to ten kilometer long high-altitude cross-country ski track on the Schnalstal Glacier is located at about 3,000 meters above sea level. Open from early October to December, it offers athletes from various national teams ideal conditions for the high-altitude training for the preparation of the next racing season. Also a lot of amateur cross-country skiers choose the Hochjoch track to do their season warm-up.
Cross-country skiers will get their money’s worth on the perfectly groomed trails in the Ultental valley. The route offers an environment sure to please cross-country ski enthusiasts. It passes by woods set deep in snow, the frozen Falschauer river, as well as centuries old farmhouses. With gentle inclines and descents, the conditions are perfect even for beginners. The trail is very diverse and offering the possibility to skate or do classic cross-country skiing.
The wide track is well suited to skating and classic skiing, and is maintained on a daily basis. Just before and after arriving in Lazins/Lazines, there’s a trail to Zeppichl. This cross-country skiing trail is freely accessible without restrictions and has easy, medium-difficulty and challenging sections. On the way back to Pfelders/Plan (or Zeppichl) there’re a number of rapid descents, where skiers need to be on the lookout for pedestrians and oncoming cross-country skiers.
The route from Plan to the Lazinser Alm mountain pasture is rather tricky due in part to the long ascent and steep incline. But at the refuge in the wide valley basin below, one can enjoy almost effortless skiing at 680 m per lap on a 15 m run. The lap around Lazines is more challenging, at 1,336 m per lap on a 52 m run.
On Thursdays (from January), between 5.30 and 9.30 pm, certain sections of the trail are lit up.

This easy to moderate circular trail starts in die Sportsarea Grube and goes through the Pfitschtal Alpine valley at the foot of the Zillertal Alps in two loops, and is a real insiders' tip due to its idyllic location and guaranteed snow. The trail is perfect for both classic and skating-style cross-country skiing and is prepared daily.

The "Erl" cross-country ski trail offers a beautiful 2.5 km of skiing in the snow-sure Pflerschtal valley. The 70-meter elevation difference provides optimal conditions, especially for experienced skiers and demanding skaters. The trail is perfect for both classic and skating styles and is located in a stunning alpine setting at the foot of the mountain Weißwandspitze and the Tribulaun.
There is no possibility to rent equipment on-site.
If you need anything, you have the option to rent equipment at the sports shop "Sport Wurzer by m2Bike" in Gossensass.
From the lakeside "Gandlan" over flat meadow area at Altdorf and the Pofellift over. After 300m it comes down to the border. From there you have the opportunity to continue across to Nauders or loops back to Reschen. Difference in altitude: 45 m Difficulty: easy
The cross-country slope Lazaun is situated next to the mountain station of the Lazaun cable car at 2,400 meters above sea level and is suitable for beginners. It is approx. 3 km long.

Thanks to its 3 km length and minimal elevation difference, the Walten cross-country ski run is well suited to both children and learners. However, the trail also attracts more advanced skiers for its fast laps. In just a few minutes, you can reach the trail from Walten/Valtina from where it takes only 10 min to St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo (± 10 km). The cross-country ski run remains open and is free of charge.
The cross-country skiiing trail offers you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the winter mountain landscape in the northern part of South Tyrol. You can access the trail either from Giggelberg/Moncucco near Gossensass or from the little hamlet Ast in the Pflerschtal Valley. The trail follows the popular bicycle trail of Brenner with a steady incline and is ideal for skating, classic cross-country skiing, as well as a winter hiking path. With a length of 4 km and an elevation gain of 70 meters, the route is suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes. The trail is free to use, but there is no equipment rental available on-site and no possibiliy to stop for refreshments.
