The Pizzeria "La Veneziana", just a few steps from the historical centre, offers a tasty pizza and dishes of Italian cuisine. The quality of the raw materials, made in Italy, from Puglia and from South Tyrol, is the first priority. For pizzas baked in the wood-fired oven we use only genuine ingredients, skilfully combined to make them unique.

At the Castel finedining restaurant, enjoyment is emphasised. Since 1992, Gerhard Wieser has been responsible for the ultimate culinary moments at Hotel Castel. This continuity has paid off, with the restaurant receiving multiple recognitions – including 2 stars from the Michelin Guide and 5 toques from the Gault Millau. At the finedining restaurant, the focus is always on the guest. Experience a unique evening of which you will long have positive memories! Along with his team, Gerhard Wieser turns the best, fresh ingredients – many of them from the region – into very special culinary experiences. To him, the truth lies on the plate; the true, clear taste stands before the aesthetic presentation of the dishes. To develop this essential taste, he experiments with and improves his technique uninterruptedly, thus revealing that he is a true tinkerer. Whether varied, sophisticated cooking techniques, current gourmet trends or new ingredients, he never gets tired of refining his art.

Our farmhouse tavern can be found right on the Merano High Mountain Trail and the Hochmuth cable car mountain station, and is the perfect starting point for a multitude of different hikes. We will be delighted to serve you with our own farm produce and hot food throughout on our sun terrace. Home production of speck bacon and Kaminwurzen smoked sausages. We can be accessed via the Hochmuth cable car; via the Vellauer Felsenweg trail, from the Leiteralm along the Merano High Mountain Trail; via the Tiroler Kreuz inn.
