Classical and sacred music concert with the string ensemble from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto conducted by Guido Freschi. The string ensemble is a musical group made up of established concert performers. The varying number of members, led by first violinist Guido Freschi, in the dual role of soloist and conductor, allows for a wide-ranging exploration of contemporary musical literature. This summer, visitors to Rosskopf can look forward to a truly extraordinary experience: sunrise concerts with a mountain breakfast at the Wishing Bell. In the magical atmosphere of early morning, guests are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Stubai Alps. The adventure begins in the early hours, with the cable car transporting you from Sterzing to 1,860 metres above sea level. From there, accompanied by a hiking guide, you’ll ascend the final 350 metres on foot to the “Köpfl” to witness the sunrise over the Zillertal Alps and the Dolomites in the east. At the Wishing Bell, the sunrise concert welcomes the first rays of the new day in a magical atmosphere. A regional mountain breakfast completes the experience. Served high up at 2,120 meters, it is without doubt a truly unique highlight! A total of four concerts offer a great variety. The sunrise concerts begin on 27th of July with a performance by the civic chapel of Sterzing. The band "Elviras Kiss" will follow on 06 th of August, followed the band "Timbreroots" on the 10th August, Jimi Henndreck" on the 27th of August 2025. The South Tyrolean capital of Bolzano, recently designated a UNESCO Creative City of Music, is once again preparing to host one of Europe’s most prestigious cultural events in the summer of 2025: the Bolzano Festival Bozen. Each year, the festival brings together exceptional creative talents, as students from top international music academies collaborate with world-class soloists and conductors to present concerts of the highest artistic quality. Throughout the city, the air is filled with the energy of discovery and shared passion for classical music. Bolzano Festival Bozen is more than a series of concerts – it is a unique cultural platform that unites four key components of the city’s musical identity: the Antiqua Festival of Early Music, the Gustav Mahler Academy, the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, and the two prestigious youth orchestras-in-residence, the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Founded by Claudio Abbado, these ensembles symbolize a shared European vision and have found their summer home in Bolzano. The festival offers a rich and diverse program, where young talent and legendary musicians come together to rehearse, perform, and inspire. Among the highlights of the 2025 edition are the final rounds of the renowned Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition, a performance by Sir John Eliot Gardiner with the Mahler Academy Orchestra as they explore the authentic soundscapes of early 20th-century music, and the celebrated cellist Pablo Ferrández – often referred to as “the new Yo-Yo Ma” – performing with the European Union Youth Orchestra under the baton of Vasily Petrenko. Also appearing are violinist Sayaka Shoji with the Bolzano String Academy, and acclaimed performers Alina Ibragimova and Renaud Capuçon, who will join the EUYO and GMJO under Iván Fischer and Manfred Honeck, respectively. For a festival whose founding motto is “music and youth,” it’s only natural that children and young audiences are not just welcomed, but encouraged to attend. In 2025, the festival’s family-friendly offerings are being expanded even further. Children are often far more open to classical music than one might expect. In fact, during the so-called “open-eared” phase – typically the first ten years of life – they show remarkable receptiveness and curiosity, even toward complex or contemporary works. This makes it an ideal time to introduce them to the world of classical music in an engaging, meaningful way. On August 14 at 7:30 PM at the Bolzano Municipal Theatre, the European Union Youth Orchestra will perform with violinist Alina Ibragimova under the direction of Iván Fischer. Prior to the concert, there will be a special introduction to the evening's program, focusing on Stravinsky’s The Firebird. Audiences will explore the Russian folktale that inspired the famous ballet and, with help from the musicians, learn to recognize musical motifs that will reappear during the performance. This introduction will be presented bilingually in Italian and German. Another special opportunity will take place on September 6 at the Bolzano Municipal Theatre (time to be confirmed), when the public is invited to attend the orchestral rehearsal for the Busoni Competition’s grand final. Since the final performance, accompanied by the Haydn Orchestra, is traditionally sold out and broadcast live on Italian television and streamed worldwide, this rehearsal offers young music lovers a rare chance to experience the intensity and behind-the-scenes atmosphere of a major international event. The theatre will be abuzz with activity, as the RAI sets up its equipment and prepares for the live transmission. Broadcast professionals will be on hand to explain how a concert is brought to audiences across the globe.

Once again this year, the Kaltern Lake Stage will offer a unique concert experience set directly on the shores of Lake Kaltern. On Tuesday, July 29, Al Bano & Band will enrich this year’s Seespiele program. His love for music was discovered at an early age, and he first gained attention as a young musician performing in the supporting program of Celentano. With the hit Nel Sole, an astonishing 1.3 million records were sold, and later that same year, he joined the Italian tour of the Rolling Stones. His musical career, spanning over five decades, has been shaped by countless hits. Over the course of his remarkable journey, Al Bano has been awarded 26 Gold and 8 Platinum records. Every Tuesday, music enlivens the city center, accompanied by events and much more. It's a popular occasion for locals from Merano, who flock into town along with visitors from the surrounding area to enjoy the summer atmosphere. For guests of the city, it's the perfect opportunity to get to know Merano and its residents. On the upper via Corso della Libertá, a market featuring handcrafted products (6:30 p.m – 11:00 p.m) accompanies the events — and on three additional dates, also on the Passeggiata Lungo Passirio (july 15th, july 29th, and august 12th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m). Kids Corner: On the Passeggiata Lungo Passirio, a space directly in front of the Kurhaus is dedicated to children. Summer evenings in Schenna: music & shopping. Stroll through the centre of the village after your evening meal, listen to music, browse in the shops and boutiques and buy some souvenirs to take home with you. In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Shop opening hours in the evenings: 8pm to 9:30pm.

Together with the Ladin language and craftsmanship, the local folk costume is at the very heart of Val Gardena culture. Its lavish decorations make it one of the most beautiful costumes in the Alps. The costume is particularly important as it identifies the social status of the person wearing it. The traditional costume parade starts at the community square of St. Christina and leads to the Center Iman. Where afterwards the Gardena traditional costume will be explained.

Summer night concert with the music band Villanders, accompanied by the folk dance group Villanders. Guests of the member of the tourist association Klausen, Barbian, Feldthurns, Villanders can expect a holiday lottery with the raffle of some material prizes. Tanz Bozen/Bolzano Danza ist national und international eines der bedeutendsten Festivals für zeitgenössischen Tanz. Jeden Juli versetzt es Bozen in Schwingung und lockt ein neugieriges Publikum in die Stadt. Die Stiftung Haydn, seit 2015 Organisator des Festivals, legt Wert auf ein inklusives, partizipatives und nachhaltiges Festival, das eine diverse Gesellschaft widerspiegelt und globale Veränderungen in die universelle Sprache des Tanzes überträgt. Herausragende zeitgenössische Choreografien, internationale Gäste und unterschiedliche Genres verschmelzen zu einem facettenreichen Programm. Dreh- und Angelpunkt des Festivals ist das Bozner Stadttheater. Daneben werden auch zahlreiche weitere Orte in der Stadt bespielt. Die Workshops, die das Südtiroler Kulturinstitut organisiert, erlauben es Interessierten, erste Erfahrungen in den verschiedensten Tanzstilen zu sammeln oder ihre Fähigkeiten auszubauen.
