The Village Festival of Ortisei takes place annually on the first Sunday after the 4th of July. The feast is dedicated to the patron saint and eponym of the parish church of Ortisei, Saint Ulrich. Saint Ulrich was appointed Bishop of Augsburg in 923 and helped the poor and sick. As Val Gardena was part of the Curia of Augsburg at that time, he was declared the patron saint of the village. According to Tyrolean custom, the church consecration festival is introduced with saluting bangs and bell ringing. The saluting bangs are loud acoustic signals that are fired in Tyrol to announce high occasions. The festival is celebrated with a Holy Mass at 9:00 am in the church of Ortisei. To celebrate the church consecration in a fitting manner, a parade with Val Gardena’s costumes and the music band of Ortisei will take place after the mass.

The village of La Val invites you to the village festival. Today, the religious tradition is honored, local dishes are served, and a festive atmosphere fills the air. After the Holy Mass you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of the music band in the pavilion. The evening will be enhanced with dance music. We want to open the doors and reveal the secrets of this treasure to you too, through small Ladin language courses, visits to the most important institutions in the valley, the places that preserve the history and culture of our Ladin mother tongue. You can also immerse yourself in the Ladin world, in the roots of this language, with Ladin poetry and music evenings. In July and August, Dorf Tirol's shops open their doors every Monday evening from 8 until 10 pm for night-time shopping overlooking the roofs and lights of Meran. Your night-time shopping trip will be accompanied by a colourful surrounding programme of events for young and old, musical entertainment and all kinds of delicious treats from local kitchens and wine cellars.

A highlight of Merano’s summer: every Tuesday Evening, the city comes alive with concerts, a craft market, and vibrant entertainment. New this year: a dedicated children's corner, offering a special space for our younger guests. As always, customs and traditions are still lovingly cultivated throughout South Tyrol and also in Steinegg. Without exception, this includes the rustic presentation of the Schuhplattler group, traditional folk dancing and the finest brass band music. On Wednesday, July 9th, the Marling whip-crackers invite you to their traditional summer festival at the fairground in Marling! Starting at 6 PM, enjoy an evening full of delicious food and good company. You can enjoy grilled specialties, sweet delicacies and a wine and schnapps stand awaits you. Summer evenings in Schenna: music & shopping. Stroll through the centre of the village after your evening meal, listen to music, browse in the shops and boutiques and buy some souvenirs to take home with you. In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Shop opening hours in the evenings: 8pm to 9:30pm. Performance by the line dance group "Ultner Country Gang" as the opening act for the Abba cover band show.

Folkloristic entertainment by the Cor Sasslong, the Folk dancegroup Selva/S. Cristina and the trio "Danter nëus". Everyday life in Val Gardena is umbued with ancient traditions. Together with the Ladin language and craftsmanship, the local folk costume is at the very heart of Val Gardena culture.

Every Wednesday, the streets in the centre of Naturno become the scene of culinary delights. Artistic performances, great live bands and a colourful children’s programme ensure entertaining evenings. The shops remain open until late at night. Start: 6 p. m.

As the sun sets on the horizon, casting a breathtaking play of colors across the sky and the Dolomite mountains, a culinary experience of the highest class begins: The Chef's Open Air – Sunset Edition in the Eggental Valley. 6 Eggen Valley gourmet chefs, 4 old wood-fired ovens, 1 legendary mountain backdrop: the main ingredients for the Chefs’ Open Air as part of Eggental Valley’s Culturinarika. In the picturesque alpine meadows below the farm Stadlalm in Welschnofen, between the Rosengarten and the Latemar, between the grill and the fire pit, between creative and sophisticated creations, at this event you can look over the shoulders of the chefs as they prepare their delicious dishes.
