Millions of visitors, 112 special exhibitions and thousands of events, including lectures, matinees, workshops and museum nights. This is the balance of the South Tyrol Nature Museum since its opening on September 14, 1999 until today. On that Tuesday 25 years ago, the museum's permanent exhibition opened its doors. To celebrate this long journey together, the Nature Museum is presenting its own temporary exhibition full of memories with objects from old exhibitions and numerous photos that make it possible to relive many of the past events. “Above all, it is an opportunity to leave your own impressions, memories of the museum, wishes and suggestions so that the Natural History Museum becomes an even more lively, inspiring and inviting place,” says museum director David Gruber. The exhibition runs from next Saturday, September 14th to October 6th. On Friday, September 20th, the museum will also celebrate its 25th anniversary from 5 p.m. to midnight with live music, workshops for children, storytelling and short tours with stargazing in the inflatable planetarium. On the occasion of the Long Night of the Bolzano Museums on Friday, October 4th, the exhibition - as well as the entire museum - can be viewed free of charge from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.

From 17th October to 3rd November 2024, several prestigious concerts will be held in the ancient walls of the towns that unfold on one of the most beautiful wine roads in Europe, combined with the excellent wines of this territory. Wine, the stories behind its production and great music will be the protagonists of the first edition of “WineSounds on the Alto Adige Wine Road. The entrance to the concerts includes the concert itself and different tastings to discover the best of local wines that, together, constitute the Alto Adige Wine Road’s family. 4

The Bolzano Concert Association is one of the oldest music organisers in Tyrol. It goes back to the Bolzano Music Society, which has been instrumental in the musical development of Bolzano since 1855. Since its foundation in 1855, its aim has been to organise an annual season of first-class classical music concerts in Bolzano almost without interruption.

‘Social intimacy’: the TSB's 2024/2025 season affirms the vital importance of theatre as a community reference point. The new programming has literally won over the Bolzano audience. The playbill designed for the Bolzano Municipal Theatre consists of 13 appointments with theatre excellence that are the result of the encounter between texts and artists of the highest calibre.

After the final notes of the woodwind quintet "LIGNUN" have faded away in the historically significant courtyard, with a view of the picturesque mountain scenery, we will take you on a journey of discovery through our wine cellars. Today, in the former Jesuit monastery, using both traditional and avant-garde techniques, Elena Walch creates her multi-award-winning wines. The charming contrast between intricately carved wooden barrels and the highly modern fermentation cellar with its architectural highlights perfectly reflects our identity and versatility. Following the concert, there will be a tasting of four selected wines in the estate's park, where you'll have the opportunity to experience it for yourself! Kaltern Pop is the name of Kaltern's lakeview festival, entirely dedicated to everyone who is fond of music, wine and good food. Those who haven't missed the last edition of the Kaltern Pop Festival will remember it as three truly unforgettable October days: about 30 international bands as well as solo artists have inspired and touched both local and foreign visitors with their different styles and great professionalism. Moreover, the wonderful locations as well as the Franciscan Church enriched the experience. Wine and first-class music are the protagonists of the second edition of the concert series WineSounds on the Alto Adige Wine Road. Experience a guided tour of the historic castle Payersberg, followed by a first-class concert with the band TriOlé. After the sounds of the music have faded after about an hour, the focus is on enjoyment. A wine tasting of a special kind in the midst of the vineyards of Ritten and Bolzano. The winegrowers of Ritten and Rentsch invite you to enjoy their wine along the REBE wine trail. At five selected stations, the winegrowers offer for tasting those wines that grow in the respective altitudes along the wine steps between Rentsch and Signat. From the rich Lagrein to the aromatic Gewürztraminer to the spicy Kerner: a whole 13 grape varieties ripen on the 3.5 km long REBE wine hiking trail! The Blues Festival, as many call it, was born in 2011 from the creative minds of South Tyrolean musicians Agostino Accarrino and Lukas Insam, with the cooperation of the Provincial Musicians' Association and the Laives Culture and Entertainment Cooperative. The idea is to bring the blues to the theatre with an innovative formula for our region: that is, the presence of a ‘home band’ to act as a link between national and international guests.

Spherical sounds with music from the 20th and 21st centuries, plus magnificent organ pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms and Franz Schmidt. The vocal ensemble Vocappella Innsbruck consists of around 20 young voices and has been directed by Bernhard Sieberer since it was founded in 1990. Vocappella has worked with Ensemble Kapsberger and Rolf Lislewand, the Austrian Baroque Company, Ensemble Unicorn and the baroque orchestra Aura Musicale Budapest, among others. Major works such as “Israel in Egypt” by George Frideric Handel, Monteverdi's “Vespers of Mary” and the “St. John Passion” by J.S. Bach were performed for the founding anniversaries. Vocappella was awarded “excellent success” at both the 2013 and 2016 All Tyrolean Vocal Competition, and the ensemble was one of the six best choirs in Austria at the ORF competition “Österreich singt”. In 2017, the ensemble won first and second place at the renowned “Guido d'Arezzo” competition. Concert tours have taken the ensemble to Valencia, Vilnius, Cairo, Dublin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Provence and Tanzania. The lecture performance perma.kult uses a formal lecture to explore a different method of landscape and garden cultivation from the conventional monoculture - permaculture. The latter is seen as an alternative to the capitalism of always more and the ruthless use of our planet's resources/limitations. On a second level, the performer André Hinderlich negotiates fragments of his biography, his own professional reality and identity within the lecture. The lecture assumes that the formation of (individual) identity is linked to the respective historical cultural-natural relationships of a specific society.
