The Missa Salisburgensis à 53 voci is a large-scale Baroque mass setting in the style of Venetian polychoral music. The composition, which has survived anonymously, is now attributed to Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber. The mass was probably first performed in Salzburg Cathedral in 1682 on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the bishopric of Salzburg. The ensemble Concerto Stella Matutina performs with two vocal choirs, two string choirs, a large continuo, flutes, oboes, cornetts, trombones and 10 trumpets with two timpani.

On Sunday afternoons in the garden, we celebrate the spectacle - as a radical indictment of modern working society and capitalism. We celebrate the capacity for inactivity - the vita contemplativa - and the good life among people, friends and like-minded people. Art brings back the humour that we so desperately need in today's world and shows a female gaze. "How can you still see reality," says Christine Lederer about her performance. As an artist, she works her way through her works and performative acts, which are often political, usually guided by words, reveal worlds and give instructions for action.

The concert will initially focus on the music of Lèo Delibes from the French Romantic period with his Messe brève, arranged for two-part female choir with organ accompaniment. The women's choir then presents an alternation of traditional American melodies and works of contemporary choral music by John Rutter, one of the most important living composers of choral and church music, who is characterised by his extraordinary melodic ingenuity and combines influences from a wide variety of eras and cultures. From the feather-light compositions of Eric Whitacre and Daniel Elders to the eponymous Flight by the American musical composer Craig Carnelia and the monumental film music of Ennio Morricone, the poignant beauty of contemporary choral literature unfolds.

For a number of years Musik & Kirche and the Tyrol Museum Association have been collaborating on recordings and CD publications devoted to historically valuable organs found in South Tyrol, some of which are rarely accessible to the public. With Peter Waldner, a well-known organist originally from the Vinschgau, four CDs have already been released. This year's recordings will capture the sound of the organs of the Mariahilf Chapel in St. Andrew's (Brixen), the parish church in Salorno, the collegiate church of Saints Candido and Corbiniano, and the parish church of St. Michael in San Candido. A live concert will also be held at the Mariahilf Chapel in St. Andrew (Brixen) on May 18.

Titlà ("just do it") was the answer given by an innkeeper 35 years ago when asked if music could be played there. Since then, the most successful South Tyrolean folk group, Titlá, has been captivating audiences for over 35 years with their unique folk music.
Through Irish and Celtic melodies and sounds, the five musicians have found their way to traditional Tyrolean folk music. Fiddle and bagpipes, flute and tuba, as well as drums and guitar, all contribute to the band’s unmistakable sound. Their well-crafted, self-composed songs make Titlá truly unique and have brought the group success and recognition far beyond the borders of South Tyrol.
The lyrics are deliberately sung in dialect to preserve and rediscover their cultural heritage - both musical and linguistic.
The current concert program offers a varied mix from 35 years of making music together.
Herman Kühebacher - Bagpipes, flutes, vocals
Eduardo Rolandelli - Guitar, vocals
Toni Taschler - Accordion, tuba, vocals
Peter Rifesser - Fiddle, mandolin, concertina, vocals
Peter Paul Hofmann - Double bass, diatonic accordion, percussion

The LanAntiqua Festival, organised by the LanAntiqua Association, aims to give "early music", which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, its deserved place in the cultural life of Lana. This music, which is not limited to any epoch, covers the periods from the Middle Ages to Romanticism.
The festival's highest maxim is: original sound, i.e. the performance of the music in an appropriate sound setting on instruments of the period and with the knowledge gained from the historical performance practice handed down in treatises. Thanks to imposing venues such as the church Maria Himmelfahrt in Niederlana with its impressive altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and its special acoustics, top-class concert enjoyment is pre-programmed.
Vocal and instrumental works as well as solo and chamber music contributions will be performed. The spectrum ranges from baroque music to classical and romantic music to compositions of our time.

Four musicians together form a unit - hilde , a being with four heads and eight arms that meets us with a gentle but powerful presence. One of hilde's greatest strengths is her ability to create bold and unexpected connections between abstract sounds and traditional beauty. For her, improvisation is an expression of freedom that makes everything possible and excludes nothing. The harmonious sounds and catchy melodies on their new album “Tide” are no coincidence, but a deliberate choice.
This close bond within the band is based on more than just the often-mentioned mutual trust. It is founded on a rare, unshakeable reliability that gives each musician the necessary sense of security to cross boundaries as hilde and penetrate deep into their inner selves - and vice versa.

Jazz
Giancarlo Tossani's edgy compositions merge with the expressive sound world of Succi, Ranther and Calcagnile to form a powerful ensemble. Clear structures, profound themes and expressive improvisation allow the harmonious interplay and close connection of Synapser to shine.
Achille Succi: bass clarinet, alto sax
Giancarlo Tossani: piano
Tito Mangialajo Rantzer: bass
Cristiano Calcagnile: drums
